Dr. Samantha Rodman Whiten is originally from Brooklyn, NY and now lives in Potomac, MD with her husband and children.

Dr. Whiten attended Columbia University for her BA, and received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland at College Park. She has been in private practice since 2009, and she is the author of How to Talk to Your Kids About Your Divorce, 52 Emails To Transform Your Marriage, and Couples You Meet In Counseling: 7 Common Relationship Dynamics That Sabotage Closeness. Her site, Dr. Psych Mom, was founded in 2014 and has a wide following.
