Who is K. Michelle? Believe it or not, the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta provocateur got her start in R&B. Back in 2009, Kimberly Michelle Pate signed to Jive Records, and her first single — which featured the legendary Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott — called "Fakin' It" hit the Billboard Hot 100 R&B charts.

After releasing three more singles on the Jive label, she left the label. For a while, it looked like she'd fade into obscurity but then, she was added to the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta in 2012. Her appearance on the show landed her a deal with Atlantic Records, and suddenly, she became relevant again.

Now, though, she's become better known for her beefs than her beats. Let's look at what we know about this fiery songstress!

1. Who is K. Michelle? She still goes on tour in support of her music.

K. Michelle's music isn't as "prolific" as it was when she was signed to Jive Records, but she still stays steady with both her releases and her touring schedule. In 2018, she released an album titled FAB, which is an acronym for "f*** all you b*****s." The single, "Save Me," debuted on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, and earned her a deal with Entertainment One.

Her next album, All Monsters Are Human, is set to be released at the top of 2020, per her announcement. She released the album's first single, "The Rain," back in October 2019.

2. She dragged Ashley Weatherspoon, JR Smith's ex-girlfriend, for shading Jewel Harris.

Back in 2013, K. Michelle dated — and subsequently broke up with — NBA player JR Smith, who seems to have a problem keeping it in his pants. After Smith and K. Michelle broke up, Smith took up with Ashley Weatherspoon.

This didn't sit well with K. Michelle, who sat down with Karen Civil to talk about it — because, shocking as it may be, Smith wasn't faithful to Weatherspoon, either.

"If he’s your man, honey, you don’t have to call and ask me about it. That’s not your man. He might be community penis, you don’t know. But I’m the wrong person to call. You’re going to get a rude awakening on the other end. Don’t call me about no mess, especially when I’m in a positive place," K. Michelle said to Civil

Well, Weatherspoon's relationship with Smith ended — and badly — when Smith dumped her in 2015 and eloped with Jewel Harris. Fast forward to 2019, and Smith's relationship with Harris seems to be falling apart, too. Weatherspoon, apparently, doesn't know when to leave good enough alone, because she took to her Instagram stories to shade Harris. And this shade on Weatherspoon's part caused K. Michelle to take to her own Instagram stories to drag Weatherspoon for blood and filth, thus reopening old wounds going back to 2013.

All this for JR Smith, ladies? He's not worth it!

3. But K. Michelle also defended Tekashi 6ix9ine.

The hip hop community isn't exactly rallying behind Tekashi 6ix9ine, even though he recently escaped having to serve a long prison stint. This lack of support of the "Gummo" rapper has to do, predominantly, with his propensity to "snitch."

But K. Michelle is happy to buck the trend of the crowd and support Tekashi 6ix9ine (real name: Daniel Hernandez). "I'm happy Tekashi 6ix9ine is getting out," she said. "The man is so entertaining, and I like his music."

4. She also recently showed off her scars.

Believe it or not, plastic surgery is not without its risks. K. Michelle, herself, has gone under the knife, and she recently took to her Instagram page to share some photos of the scars she endured as a result of some botched plastic surgery.

She also strongly implied, but didn't outright state, that she'd be undergoing reconstructive surgery to fix her previous surgeon's errors.

5. K. Michelle dragged Camila Cabello when her old racist Tumblr resurfaced.

Camila Cabello had a problem in the past with some racist views. Recently, Cabello's old Tumblr reblogs resurfaced, and K. Michelle was not happy about it, to say the least. In a tweet that was subsequently removed from Twitter because it violated the rules, K. Michelle kindly suggested that the former Fifth Harmony singer should "go suck a d***," and referred to her as a "racist rat." (She also didn't seem to care that she misspelled Cabello's name.)

6. Camilla Cabello apologized for her past problematic Tumblr.

“When I was younger, I used language that I’m deeply ashamed of and will regret forever. I was uneducated and ignorant and once I became aware of the history and the weight and the true meaning behind this horrible and hurtful language, I was deeply embarrassed I ever used it. I apologized then and I apologize now. I would never intentionally hurt anyone and I regret it from the bottom of my heart," she said
