About Wai-Sheng Ng

I am a Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D) with 18 years of experience in the mental health field, working with individuals, couples and families. I am also trained in family therapy and spiritual companionship, which inspire me to reconnect with my own history and work towards greater freedom and authentic living.

I practice wholistic mental health, that is, I see people as wholistic beings, in which our mental health is closely associated with our physical, relational and spiritual health. As a therapist, I use an integrative approach, combining psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems and spiritual frameworks, to understand the complex human behaviors and interaction processes. I believe in listening deeply to my clients’ verbalized and pre-verbalized needs, in order to work together towards finding creative solutions in their current contexts.

I have received extensive training in the United States and Hong Kong, and currently practicing in Malaysia, where I founded Growing Space Psychology Center in Seremban and Kuala Lumpur. My experience of living abroad and growing up in a multicultural society helps me appreciate the complexity of diversity and oneness at the same time. I am also well acquainted with the normal stress of life changes and transitions, including grief and losses.

Learning from my own personal and professional journey, I find great joy in seeing growth in myself and in the people I work with (my colleagues, clients and students). Hence, it is my passion to help people grow and expand, towards greater personal integration and relational satisfaction.
