Are the rumors true?

From the very beginning, Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus' relationship has been a pretty big whirlwind, and there's no signs of it slowing down now — especially after recent rumors.
Word on the street is that Cyrus could be expecting her first child with her relatively new BF... which is definitely an interesting development, to say the least.
But is Miley Cyrus pregnant with Cody Simpson's child? Here's everything we know about the situation so far.
1. Rumors that Cyrus is pregnant have been circulating.
It's unclear where these rumors originated, but there has been definite buzz, including from fans on Twitter who have been talking about the possibility that Cyrus is with child. And apparently, it's been going on long enough that the topic came up in conversation during a recent interview that Simpson did. Although Cyrus does share videos and photos with Simpson on Instagram (especially on her Instagram stories), she keeps the more personal details of their relationship to herself, so of course, she has yet to acknowledge these rumors herself.
2. Simpson responded to the rumors during a recent TV appearance.
While appearing on an Australian morning show, Simpson laughed off the pregnancy rumors, saying that if he believed them, he'd have been pregnant for "years" himself.
"You've just gotta take it in stride," Simpson said. "What I try to do is just focus on my work and what's important to me, and for me that's my work and my music. The rest just kind of comes along with it. It's all part of it. You just have to take it in stride and be cool with it."
3. Simpson has said that he wants to raise a family in Australia.
During an interview last week, Simpson asserted that he does want children, and would likely want to raise them in Australia, where he and his family are from.
"I would like to return back in Australia for sure," he said at the time. "I miss Australia a lot. I would like to come back more. I will always have a home base in L.A., but Australia will always be number one."
4. Cyrus has said in the past she doesn't want to have kids until the climate change crisis is settled.
In a 2019 interview (while she was still married to Liam Hemsworth), Cyrus said she does want kids, but not until she feels like she's giving them a better planet to live on.
"We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing," she said. "And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce. We’re getting handed a piece-of-sh*t planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child. Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that...We don’t want to reproduce because we know that the earth can’t handle it."
5. It's been less than a year since Cyrus and Hemsworth went their separate ways.
In August 2019, Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their divorce, and it didn't take long before Cyrus was moving on with Kaitlynn Carter. However, that relationship didn't last long, and by October, she and Simpson were together, and they've stayed that way ever since. The last six months have held a lot of relationship ups and downs for Cyrus, so it wouldn't be surprising if pregnancy was the last thing on her mind.
6. So is Miley Cyrus pregnant with Cody Simpson's child? So far, all signs point to "no."
Between Simpson's comments in his interview, the fact that Cyrus has said herself she isn't ready for kids, and how new their relationship still is, it would be truly surprising if Cyrus was indeed pregnant.
But stranger things have certainly happened, and only time (and Cyrus and Simpson themselves) will tell if there was ever any truth to these rumors to begin with.
