1. Who is Erica Mena? She's one of the stars of Love & Hip Hop who just got engaged to Safaree Samuels.

Mena and Samuels met on the set of Love & Hip Hop, and sparks flew instantly. While there were some fans who wondered if their relationship was nothing more than a publicity stunt, they soon realized it was the real deal when Mena fell pregnant with Samuels' child.

Yesterday, Mena shared "the most magical engagement ever" on her social media account when she revealed that she and Samuels got engaged on Christmas Eve 2019.

2. A fan recently mistook Mena for Nicki Minaj.

A few days ago, Mena and Samuels were at a nightclub when two fans allegedly went up to Mena and said, "OMG! Nicki Minaj!" That comment didn't sit well with Samuels, and before anyone could realize what was going on, one of the fans almost found himself stabbed for his trouble

3. Mena recently compared Samuels' anatomy to DaBaby's.

A few days ago, rapper DaBaby was part of the great celebrity nude leak of Christmas 2019 (though he denied the anatomy in question was his). And it didn't take long for Mena to claim that Samuels' anatomy with DaBaby's, which didn't net a lot of positive reactions from people on Twitter.

One person said that Mena was "thirsty" for posting about her husband. Another claimed that she was just trying to be important when she wasn't. And still another simply asked "who does this?"

When The Shade Room picked up the story (and subsequently deleted it), this brought the "Barbz" — extreme Minaj fans — out in full force, and for a time, they made "Erica Mena" a top trending topic on Twitter for all the wrong reasons (mostly because they were threatening to return the favor).

5. But Mena shut down the rumors quickly.

It didn't take long for Mena to take to her Instagram stories to call out The Shade Room for their claims.

"Shade Room you are such a pathetic outlet for our culture! All Y'all do is post made up and pathetic lies about people who want nothing to do with you! I'm pregnant and this is how you go about harassing a woman who's getting ready to give birth! Shame on you Angelica Nwandu [the founder of The Shade Room]!" she said.

6. Mena is currently starring in a new film on BET Plus.
