Who Is Bob Iger's Wife? Willow Bay's Career Is Just As Impressive As Her Husband's

Bob Iger is known for being the Chairman and Chief Executive of The Walt Disney Company, but what about the woman who’s been by his side through it all? Who is Bob Iger’s wife?

Recently, Iger’s been making headlines thanks to the successful launch of Disney+, bringing The Mandalorian and baby Yoda into our lives, as well as the opportunity to binge all our childhood favorites. But what about his personal life?

Iger has been married to his wife, Willow Bay, since 1995, and it seems they’re still going strong more than 24 years later. Here’s everything you need to know about Willow Bay.

1. Who is Bob Iger's wife? Willow Bay is his second wife.

Previously, Iger was married to Kathleen Susan Iger but they split in 1994 after having two children together: Amanda and Kate. A year later, Iger married Willow Bay, and they’ve been together ever since.

Iger and Bay have also have two children together: Robert and William.

2. Bay is a former model and is currently a journalist.

Bay’s career began as a model while she was still in high school. According to Bay herself, she went into Seventeen Magazine asking for an internship, and they told her she might be more suited toward modeling, so she signed with Ford Models the same day.

She went on to model for Estee Lauder before pivoting to on-camera journalism. She went on to host Moneyline on CNN, along with other anchoring gigs.

3. She was promoted to Dean of USC in 2017.

More recently, Bay has been working in higher education. In 2017, she became Dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and she also happened to be the first woman to hold that title in the school’s history.

4. As a couple, Iger and Bay like spending time with their children.

In a profile of Iger last year, Bay shared that she and Iger “haven’t been apart since June 13, 1994,” when they started dating. At the time, they said they spend a lot of time at home with their children, catching up on shows like The Crown. Pretty low-key for the CEO of Disney and a college dean.

Bay keeps most of her social media focused on her work, but from time to time, she’ll share glimpses into her personal life, like this photo with Iger from the car on the way to the Academy Awards last February. Bay also shares photos of her children, and from her travels and speaking engagements.

6. Bay and Iger joined forces as philanthropists.

Earlier this month, Bay and Iger established a $1 million scholarship at Iger’s alma mater, Ithaca College, to help students in need who are studying journalism, sports media, or documentary studies.

Together, it seems like Iger and Bay are an unstoppable team. Who knows what else they’ll accomplish in the future?

7. Disney just announced Iger will be stepping down as CEO effective immediately.

Disney announced on Tuesday, February 25th that Bob Chapek will be taking over Iger's role and Iger will assume the role of executive chairman and "will direct the Company’s creative endeavors, while leading the Board and providing the full benefit of his experience, leadership and guidance to ensure a smooth and successful transition through the end of his contract on Dec. 31, 2021."
