Are Angela Yee And Charlamagne Tha God Feuding?

The Gucci Mane fallout continues. Apparently, shortly after Gucci Mane began beefing with Angela Yee, rumors of a feud between The Breakfast Club co-hosts Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God began surfacing. But are Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God feuding?

Believe it or not, we first heard of Charlamagne Tha God back when Wendy Williams — she of the eponymous Wendy Williams Show — was on 98.7FM, KISS-FM in New York City. He was her sidekick and can be infamously heard sputtering during Judge Greg Mathis' now-legendary diss of Wendy. When Wendy left radio to go on television, Charlamagne moved to Power 105.1, where he linked up with Angela Yee and DJ Envy and formed the now-syndicated hip-hop morning show The Breakfast Club, where he's been since 2010.

But is it possible that he's now beefing with one of his oldest and dearest friends —not to mention his co-worker, Angela Yee?

Let's look at what we know about this unfortunate turn of events.

1. It all started with Gucci Mane roasting The Breakfast Club.

This is a long and complicated story, so to make it simple and short, People reports that the beef between Gucci Mane and The Breakfast Club kicked off when Gucci claimed that, in her younger days, Angela Yee tried to hit on him, and he rejected her. Angela Yee denied it, and Gucci brought the receipts.

This is the last part of the story that both parties agree on.

According to Gucci Mane, Angela Yee banned him from The Breakfast Club for his insolence. (It could also have to do with the fact that Gucci promised to slap DJ Envy, too.) Angela, meanwhile, denies she banned him, but said that he should call up and publicly apologize if he wants to make amends.

2. Gucci Mane has been on a tirade about The Breakfast Club for weeks.

And, if you believe XXL, the fighting is all for nothing. DJ Envy, he of The Breakfast Club, insists that Gucci Mane isn't banned from the show, and he doesn't know what he's so mad about. (We don't, either. If Angela Yee hit on you, so what? She's beautiful. And if she didn't, so what? You're married, GuWop, sir.)

3. The various feuds that Gucci Mane has had over the course of his career were highlighted on The Breakfast Club.

"The rest of the interview detailed some of Guwop’s other infamous beefs with Nicki Minaj and Waka Flocka Flame among others that he’s since made amends with. Charlamagne commented on Gucci’s growth, stating “hopefully you can do that with [DJ Envy] and Angela one day, and all of y'all can get on one accord," reported BET.com, to which Gucci replied, quite simply, "f--k 'em."

Welp! So much for growth!

4. Did Angela Yee begin feuding with Charlamagne Tha God over that comment?

According to HipHopDX, Angela Yee apparently "liked" a comment on Twitter that made clear that Charlamagne Tha God wasn't Angela's friend, just a co-worker. This "like" (are we really creepin' on Twitter likes now? Yes. Yes, we are.) This got Charlamagne Tha God in his feelings, and he unfollowed Angela Yee on all social media platforms. Angela Yee, for her part, returned the favor.

5. Plies defended Angela Yee and called Charlamagne Tha God a "clout chaser."

A "clout chaser" is someone who hops on bandwagons to get famous, for the record. "People often ask why I admire you so much. You make it hard to route against you. Your Independency, relentless work ethic and ability to maneuver thru a male-dominated industry w/o sacrificing your dignity, class, and integrity is remarkable, to say the least," said Plies, according to BET.com.

6. Wait...is this all a "clout chase"?

There's a possibility that all of this drama and "feuding" is for publicity and ratings...and it's working. As the old saying goes, rap is like wrestling, because everything is fake.

Hmmm. Only time will tell.
