Meet Rebecca Broxterman — Kevin Hart's Personal Trainer Involved In Gruesome Car Accident With Him
She was in the car but his wife wasn't.
Instagram The devastating car wreck Kevin Hart was involved in over the weekend didn't involve just him. A woman named Rebecca Broxterman was also in the car as was Jared S. Black, the driver of the car — and Rebecca Broxterman's fiancé. Hart was seriously injured in the accident, which happened at 1:45am on Sunday, September 1 on Mullholland Drive in Malibu. Luckily, Hart's wife Eniko was not in the car and Eniko says that Kevin's recovery is going well. Whew. But who is Rebecca Broxterman?
1. She's a personal trainer
Rebecca Broxterman, 31, is a personal trainer. In fact, she's also Kevin Hart's wife Eniko's personal trainer. Broxterman's Instagram reveals a focus on fitness. She has also appeared on Eniko Hart's Insta page several times. Broxterman helped her get back in shape after the birth of her first child, Kenzo, in November 2017.
2. She's engaged
Not only is Broxterman engaged, she's engaged to Jared S. Black, who was driving Hart's 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when it careened off the road and rolled down an embankment. Although Black and Hart had to be transported to the hospital, Boxterman told first responders she would seek her own aid.
3. The accident
Jared Black was driving the car. He lost control of the vehicle and the Plymouth Barracuda veered off the road and rolled down an embankment. Hart and Black sustained major back injuries in the accident. A video of the accident shows the car in a deep gully about 10 feet off the road. First responders had to saw the roof off the car to rescue Black and Boxterman.
4. RebeccaBroxFit
Rebecca's personal training business is called RebeccaBroxFit. She also has her own clothing brand called Biti Brand. She sells a training guide and t-shirts that say "Be Inspired to Inspire" on them.
5. Birthday plans delayed
Just days before the accident, Broxterman took to her Instagram the day before the accident to post a photo of herself in a bikini. She wrote: "Okay, friends! My birthday is coming up! I can't decide where I want to go and I want your help. Right now it's between Tulum and Hawaii. I've never been to either one so I am split 50/50." We can assume that birthday trip was going to be with her fiancé, who is recovering from surgery from the injuries he sustained in the accident.
6. Is Kevin Hart ok?
Kevin Hart underwent successful back surgery for the injuries he sustainted in the crash. He will require extensive physcial therapy to recover. He is expected to be released from the hospital this week.
