1. They initially split because they didn't have a lot in common.

According to Nicki Swift, the couple — who met in 2012, and tied the knot in 2015 — were together for a long time (by Hollywood standards), but they couldn't make their relationship work because they had very little in common.

"Jennifer and Justin fell in love hard and fast and yet they were never really suited to one another. He was a New York hipster that loved the alternative lifestyle and Jennifer was living a much more reclusive life when they first started to fall in love. The initial chemistry between them made it easy for them to ignore their differences and incompatibility … He's more nomadic, more of a free spirit, he's rugged and urban and Jennifer just isn't that kind of person," reported the outlet.

2. Even though Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux are no longer together, they're still on great terms.

According to Elle Magazine, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux just might be some of the friendliest exes on the planet! Even though they're no longer together, they're still on great terms.

"They differed on a lot of things — where to live, how to handle the paparazzi, the types of hotels to stay in, but one thing they were always on the same page about was their dogs,” the source said. “They loved their animals and felt strongly about choosing rescue dogs. No expense was spared; the dogs had great care. People used to joke that the dogs had a better life than they did!” Aniston and Theroux have "no bad blood" these days, the source said. They don't hang out often, but they remain good friends, love their dogs, and have an open-door policy with their pets," reported the outlet.

3. That "open door policy" on the pets came in handy recently, when their beloved dog died.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Dolly was one of the dogs that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux shared throughout their relationship. And when she died recently, the former couple came together to mourn her passing.

"Theroux celebrated the life of the Mexican-born White Shepherd by placing photos over her body, which was laying on a white blanket. One of the former couple's other dogs, a terrier named Clyde, had his snout visible in one pic. Another shot showed two people — whom some speculated could be Theroux and Aniston — holding hands over Dolly's body," reported the outlet, who added that the Mexican-born White Shephard was named after Dolly Parton.

"Aniston and Theroux's dogs were reportedly like their kids. When the couple married in 2015, sources told People they opted to tie the knot at home so they could include their dogs in the celebration," reported the outlet.

5. When Dolly was dying, Justin Theroux "rushed" to Jennifer Aniston's side.

According to Radar Online, when it came out that Dolly was dying, Justin Theroux reportedly rushed to be by Jennifer Aniston's side.

"RadarOnline.com has exclusive details about their private meeting. The New York City-based actor, 47, rushed to his ex-wife’s Los Angeles home to say goodbye to their beloved dog, Dolly, Radar can confirm. Though Theroux was in New York last week for his bar opening, he was spotted by a fan in the Hollywood area at a Rite Aid near Aniston’s mansion on Saturday evening, July 27. One day later, on Sunday, July 28, The Leftovers actor went over to Aniston’s home to attend an intimate memorial for Dolly," reported the outlet

6. Are Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux back together?

According to Extra, thanks to this surprise reunion, the rumors are abounding that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are back together.

"In response to his Instagram, Jennifer's BFF Courteney Cox wrote, "We love you dolly." In 2015, Dolly was part of Jennifer and Justin’s top-secret wedding at their Bel-Air home, along with their pitbull mix Sophie. At the time, a source told People magazine, “They are like Jen’s babies.” Justin and Jennifer were seen with the dog as early as 2006. They split in 2018 after more than two years of marriage," reported the outlet.
