Jameela Jamil and James Blake have been an item for years. The actress and the musician started dating all the way back in 2015 when Jamil was a DJ at BBC Radio 1. The first clue that the two were dating was a selfie of the couple on IG that Jamil captioned: “Birthday photobooth fun in LA.”

Not long after Blake started showing up on Jamil's Instagram and fans started to put two and two together. However, Jamil and Blake kept things simple and on their own terms, only revealing what they were comfortable with. They kept it low-key for the first year of their relationship and officially went public after they celebrated their first anniversary together. 1. He's a Grammy winning singer

James Blake Litherland was born in 1988. His dad is the musician James Litherland whom he took after, showing interest in and talent for music at a young age. Blake released his self-titled debut album in 2011. He's released four albums to date, 2011's James Blake, 2013'a Overgrown, 2016's The Colour in Anything and 2019's Assume Form. He was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2014 and for producing and appearing on Beyoncé's Lemonade. In 2019 he was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for "King's Dead." He won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance.

2. How did they meet?

When Jameela Jamil met James Blake she was a well-known TV host in the UK and he was already gaining acclaim for his music. Blake started appearing on Jamil's IG in 2015. He didn't start using the social media platform until 2017. Blake continued to appears on Jamil's Instgram but the photos were super-causal and usually just showed the back of Blake's head. 3. Jamil made it official on New Year's eve

On December 31, 2015, Jamil posted a photo of the couple with their hands over their faces and captioned it: "A year spent with my favourite person in the world. Happy New Year everyone. 4. He's super-thoughtful 

In December 2017, Jamil took to Instagram to post a photo of the two of them looking out a hotel window onto the Las Vegas Strip and captioned it: "He’s in another country but he sent me a surprise car to pick me up from the airport because he knew I would be tired and cold," Jamil wrote. "Disgusting. He is the best I’ll (vomit emoji) for you."

5. His latest album is inspired by her

Blake released his fourth album, Assume Form in January 2019. He took to his Twitter to talk about his biggest inspiration: Jamil. He wrote: "To @jameelajamil," he wrote. "I love you and you are the reason this album exists, but now everyone else has it, so I’ll see you at home in 30 mins and we can talk sh*t about everyone," which is a reference to his song "Power On."

6. Four years together

Jamil and Blake celebrated their fourth anniversary in May 2019. She posted the photo below and captioned it: "4 years deep with this hilarious man. I used to hate the top picture so much because of my “double” chin, and now I realize I was such a dick for that. I’m so happy in that picture and I’m so glad that wonderful day is documented. And I love my chins for being such faithful friends to my biggest laughs. My inner bully is such an arsehole and every day is an exercise to murder it."
