A shared home serves as a haven for relationships, where couples can unwind after work, raise a family, and just enjoy each other. It’s a big deal for newlyweds to live together; you don’t quite know what someone is like until you’re co-existing with them in the same space.
But sometimes couples who can afford it maintain two residences. And that’s what Gwyneth Paltrow revealed recently about her marriage to Brad Falchuk: they don't live together! Which begs the question all over the Internet right now: are Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk getting divorced?
In an interview with the Sunday Times, Paltrow said she only sees her husband three nights a week when he returns home.
“Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” she said. According to the actress, her intimacy coach (because, yes, rich people can afford such things) “approved” her living situation and claimed it provided “polarity” in their marriage.
In December 2018, Paltrow told the Wall Street Journal that the couple hadn’t yet moved in together, even though they had been married for three months at that point.
“I’ve never been a stepmother before. I don’t know how to do it. We are still doing it in our own way. With teenage kids, you’ve got to tread lightly. It’s pretty intense, the teenage thing,” she explained.
Paltrow is no stranger to odd living arrangements. In fact, in addition to Falchuk only living in their home for half of the week, she’s attempted to make the adjustment easier for their blended family.
Paltrow shares two children, Moses and Apple, with her ex-husband, Chris Martin of Coldplay. And Falchuk also has two kids, Isabella and Brody, with his ex-wife, television producer Suzanne Bukinik. Martin also has a standing room in his ex-wife’s home.
Martin and his girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, are also part of the Falchuks’ lives. After they wed, Johnson and Martin attended a “family honeymoon” in the Maldives.
While appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan, she told the hosts, “We just took our honeymoon in the Maldives and we had a big family honeymoon over Christmas. So, my new husband and his children, my children, my ex-husband, our best family friends... It was a very modern honeymoon.”
So, while it seems the couple aren’t divorcing, rumors swirl that things are not as happy as they seem.
According to RadarOnline, the newlyweds were spotted at the end of March having a blow-out fight in Los Angeles. “It looked like they were at each other’s throats... Gwyneth can be a lot to handle. She’s used to getting her own way in business with her lifestyle brand, Goop, and as a movie star,” the anonymous source said.
But all couples fight, right? Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and trust they are doing what’s best for them and their children.
