4. Dance fan

Komyshan was studying dance and acting at the prestigious performing arts school, which was an immediate selling point for Elgort. People reports, that in 2015, he said: “I like strong women. Physical women. My dad photographed a lot of beautiful dancers. My mom was a dancer. I love when a girl is like, ‘I can’t hang out. I have to go to class.’ And I go pick her up and she’s all sweaty in a leotard with her hair in a bun. That’s the hottest thing ever.”

6. Temporary split

Back in 2014, the core had a brief time apart but Elgort says he knew something was gone from his life without her. Marie Claire reports that he said at the time: ”I was doing OK," Elgort remembers. "But I knew something was missing, and I was like, 'Oh, that's love.'" Within five months, they were back together. Since then, they have been red carpet regulars and they adorn one another's Instagram pages, showing their world travels and enviable levels of affection for one another.

They weren't apart for long.

7. Selfies

This week people have been buzzing about Elgort and whether he and Komyshan have split again. The Heavy reports that he got on Instagram on Tuesday night and posted seventeen different selfies to his account. It was his first time posting in over a month and fans had some questions about why the star of the upcoming movie The Goldfinch was plastering his face on social media that night. Some even wondered if this was a signal that something was wrong between Elgort and Komyshan and perhaps he was showing off a newly single status with the shirtless snaps. That doesn’t seem to be the case, however, since Komyshan popped into the comments to say “I think this one is the best but they’re all good tbh.”
