Is Zoe Kravitz Married? New Details About Zoe Kravitz And Karl Glusman's Secret Wedding

Zoe Kravitz and Karl Glusman, the famously gorgeous and private couple, have secretly gotten married according to new reports. Kravitz broke the news of her engagement to the actor when she spoke with Rolling Stone last fall. The couple has been together since 2016 but they keep things low key and don't publicize their relationship widely. Now they've taken a similarly private approach to tying the knot, with a quiet legal ceremony. They do plan a more formal wedding later this summer. Is Zoe Kravitz married? What's the deal with their secret marriage? Read on for all the details.

1. Zoe Kravitz

Zoe Kravitz is the daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and A Different World Star Lisa Bonet. She started acting in high school and by the time she was 20, she worked with Susan Sarandon and Pierce Brosnan on The Greatest, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. Her projects have only gotten bigger and bigger over the years, including Mad Max: Fury Road, the Fantastic Beasts movies and the role of Bonnie on the HBO series Big Little Lies. She also provided the voice for Mary Jane in the hit Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse.

Kravitz stars in Big Little Lies.

2. Karl Glusman

Karl Glusman isn't nearly as well known as his Crimes of Grindewald-starring partner but he has quite an acclaimed career of his own. He's been acting in short films, commercials and indies since 2008. His career really took off after his role in the film Love directed by Gaspar Noë. That film made a huge splash, in part because it featured unsimulated sex scenes. He knew what he was getting into, saying at the time: "He told me I was going to be naked, and my penis was going to be exposed. He told me we weren’t going censor or sugar-coat sex, but show something we all experience on a regular basis. He wanted to know why, when you depict intimacy in a room with the blinds closed, people get so upset.” He has several projects set to be released this year, including a series on FX called Devs and a film called Above Suspicion that also stars  Emilia Clarke, Thora Birch and Johnny Knoxville.

3. How they met

The couple met about three years ago at a bar. Glusman was there with mutual friends. The evening wasn't exactly a set-up, Kravitz said in an interview with Rolling Stone, but he had asked to be introduced to her after having a crush on her for a while. He was feeling too shy to make a serious move on her but she enjoyed his company and stuck close to him for the night. As he left the bar, she invited him back to her place to get to know each other.

4. Relaxed together

Kravitz told Rolling Stone that she's always appreciated how relaxed they can be with one another, a low pressure kind of relationship. “I can be my weirdest self around him. It’s so relaxing to be around someone where you can be a hundred percent how you feel.”

5. Proposal

Kravitz described the night she got engaged to Rolling Stone. She said Glusman had been planning a special proposal in Paris but work obligations got in their way. Instead, he popped the question in their apartment. “I was in sweatpants. I think I was a little drunk," she said, recalling how he put on music and hugged her.  "I could feel his heart beating so fast — I was like, ‘Baby, are you OK?’ I was actually worried about him!”  When he bent down on one knee, she still didn't catch on, thinking: “‘Yes, stretch! Stretch to calm your heart down!’ ” Once he showed her the ring — the exact one she would have chosen for herself — she figured it all out. "He nailed it,” she says. “And I love that it wasn’t this elaborate plan in Paris. It was at home, in sweatpants.”

The couple got engaged last year.

6. Wedding plans

When Kravitz spoke to Rolling Stone back in October, both she and Glusman were about to be extremely busy with work obligations. Kravitz's film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald opened in November and Glusman has two films slated to open in 2019, as well as starring in FX's upcoming series, Devs. She's also been busy filming and promoting the latest season of Big Little Lies with Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman.

Big Little Lies second season is about to air.

7. Married?

Now US Weekly is reporting that the couple has gotten legally married without letting the public know. A source close to the couple says they plan to have a ceremony to affirm and celebrate their nuptials in France sometime in June.

The pair secretly got married.

Best wishes to the happy couple.
