It's only been a few weeks since we learned that Aunt Becky from Full House  — a.k.a. Lori Loughlin — was involved in the college admissions scam of the decade. Her daughter, YouTube star Olive Jade, was unfairly placed at the center of scam for after her famous mom paid $500,000 for her admission to USC on the basis that she was a part of the rowing team.

Despite the fact that it seems both she and her sister Isabella Rose knew nothing about the scam, Jade has received a lot of backlash because of it.

She is understandably upset with her mother after Operation Varsity Blues and has been laying low since the scandal broke.

“Olivia is hanging out with longtime friends, but that’s it,” a source told PEOPLE. “She doesn’t want to go out in public. Her boyfriend lives in Malibu, so she is spending time there, too."

“She is definitely upset with her parents. This wasn’t her idea,” the source continued. “She didn’t care if she got into USC. She just wanted to focus on her business. She feels that she worked very hard for something that she loves, and she has no idea what will happen with her business in the future.”

The source said that Jade feels like "her life is very much upside down," and that it's been "difficult for her." Which is why she's happy she has the support of her boyfriend to lean on.

“I got started at a really young age,” Guth said in a 2012 interview with Seventeen. “Around seven or eight when I started writing my own chords and putting words together.”

In 2011, he performed his single "Loving" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and even opened for Big Time Rush and One Direction on their "Better With U" North American Tour.

He's currently in a band titled North of Nine. They made their SXSW debut in 2015.

2. He understands the need to lay low.

Since he found musical success at a young age, Guthy has been laying low the past few years. That's something that Jade is probably finding comfort in during this tumultuous part of her life.

Since the scandal broke, she lost her sponsorship deals and her beauty lines with Sephora and TREsemme. She once publicly admitted that she didn't want to go to college, so naturally, the negative attention is seriously hurting her brand.

“A lot of Olivia’s friends have been telling her not to be mad at her parents since they were just trying to do the best they could for her, but she doesn’t listen,” a source said. “Olivia feels she is the victim.”

She has since dropped out of USC out of fear of "bullying."

3. He also has famous parents.

Like Jade, Guthy knows what it's like to grow up in the shadow of your parents' celebrity spotlight. His mother, Victoria Guthy, ran a successful makeup business for years and his father, Bill Guthy, runs a direct marketing company worth $1.5 billion called Guthy-Renker.

Despite their respective celebrity statuses and that of their parental units, Jade and Guthy have kept their relationship very private. There are no photos of the two of them on either of their social media accounts.

Which for a highly publicized millennial couple, is pretty darn impressive.

4. His older sister has a rare disease.

Ali Guthy, 25, has neuromyelitis optica (NMO) and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, a rare autoimmune disease also known as "orphan disorder." People are diagnosed with the disease when their immune system attacks normal tissue, mistaking it for something foreign. Essentially, it can cause harm to an otherwise healthy central nervous system.

She spoke with Teen Vogue about her disease and how doctors told her at 14 that she only had four to six years to live.

“I had a one-month period of nonstop nausea, and I lost weight,” she said. “I went to a series of doctors, and no one could find anything wrong with me. Being thirteen and tall and skinny, people jumped to conclusions that I had an eating disorder."

"Those symptoms went away after a month, and then a year later, I started to lose vision in my left eye. My family got the diagnosis a week after the onset of symptoms… your own immune system starts to attack your body. It can cause blindness and paralysis.”

She is currently in remission and wrote a memoir in 2012.
