Who Is Mike Caussin? Wife Jana Kramer Supportive Of His Openness About Relapse In Sex Addiction

The 32-year old played the position of tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Buffalo Bills and the Washington Redskins. It was in August of 2014 that Caussin was injured after just signing to the Washington Redskins July 21, 2014.
Though it was a sprained knee that caused the Redskins to put him on injured reserve, Caussin had many injuries during his career as a football player. He also had a torn ACL and a hip injury.
Aside from his football career, Caussin is a husband and a father. Married since 2014, Caussin and his wife have had some highs and lows in their relationship. The first sign of the couple having trouble was in 2016, two years after they first got married. The two were separated as a result.
The separation was never handled in court, and in 2017 the couple was back on good terms, confirmed by his wife on Olivia Caridi's Mouthing Off podcast. Now in 2019, the most recent low comes as Caussin opens up about having a relapse in his addiction.

1. Jana Kramer's Husband.
Jana Kramer is a singer and actress. The 35-year old is best known for her role on One Tree Hill which went off the air in 2012. Caussin asked her to marry him in December 2014, and Kramer gladly accepted.
She told US Magazine: "He was the perfect gentleman. Nervous, on one knee and surrounded by some of the people that love us the most."
Just five months later, in May 2015 the couple was married in Virginia. Once again Kramer was happy to tell US Magazine about how glad she was to be married as she described the couple as being fortunate to have met each other. The happiness continued when three months later in August 2015 the pair found out that they were having their first child together.
2. Father of two kids
Caussin is a proud father of two kids. After the pregnancy was confirmed by one of Kramer's reps to US Weekly, Caussin's firstborn, Jolie Rae was brought into the world in January 2016. Kramer was filled with joy and told US Magazine that she was overwhelmed with joy. She is now 3 years old.
Even though the couple split shortly after, Kramer dedicated a sweet Father's Day post to Caussin on Instagram. The caption read "We may not have the perfect fairytale love story but what is perfect between us is our little girl. Happy Father's day to Jolie's daddy. There's one thing we can for sure always agree on... you're an amazing father and she's so lucky to have you."
Caussin's second child Jace Joseph Caussin was born in November 2018 after Kramer had a miscarriage in 2017. Kramer couldn't have been more excited, especially as the couple was finally improving their relationship. On Instagram, Kramer posted a photo of her husband kissing their son with the caption: "Thank you to all of our friends and family... all of you who have supported Mike and I, and out growing family. We are so blessed."
3. The couple has had more than one sex incident.
According to US Magazine, the couple first split up back in August 2016 after US Weekly reported that Caussin cheated on Kramer with multiple women, multiple times. He had a sex addiction and was seeking treatment at the same center as Tiger Woods. According to US Magazine Kramer reportedly tried giving Caussin the benefit of the doubt before distancing herself from him.
It took a friend of hers to truly open her eyes to her husband's infidelities. A Kramer insider claimed that Caussin was sleeping with an escort and said "the only reason Mike got caught is because the escort knew Jana's friend."
4. Had a relapse in his sex addiction
On their Whine Down Podcast on March 25, Kramer and Caussin opened up about his sex addiction which caused major trouble in their marriage. It has been one year of sobriety and Caussin finally talked about the challenges he has faced with his sex addiction as well as how his treatment went and where the marriage is headed from here.
According to Kramer, he struggled with addiction for nearly three years. Caussin clarified that although he had relapsed that there was no sex outside of marriage. "I'm not minimizing cheating because we have other things in Jan and I's discussion of boundaries that's cheating. But no sex outside of marriage. I just want to be clear that there wasn't any other affair since that moment," Caussin said.
5. His wife supports him opening up about the addiction.
Five days after the podcast aired, Jana posted on Instagram about how happy she was that Mike finally opened up about his sex addiction. Along with saying how great the week had been, Kramer made sure that everyone knew Caussin shared his story not because he had to, but because he wanted to help others.
"On Monday he shared his story and his truth about addiction on the podcast which he didn't have to do by any means but did because he wants to help others," she said. Kramer added that she was proud of him and acknowledged that addiction is hard.
