Teddi Mellencamp is the daughter of rocker John Mellencamp, and her step-mom will soon be Meg Ryan.
Instagram Rock n’ roll singer John Mellencamp and actress Meg Ryan got engaged in November 2018, with a plan to get married at some point. But not even Mellencamp’s daughter, Teddi, knows when the wedding will be.
Teddi Mellencamp revealed to Page Six that she has no idea when the wedding will take place, or where, or any details with their upcoming nuptials. "You think that they’re involving me in the planning?” Teddi said. “One, I’m on ‘Real Housewives.’ Two, I’m a loudmouth. Three, like they’ll probably tell me the day before, like ‘Show up’ and do not tell me why. They’re very private. Me, not very much.”
John Mellencamp has been in the music biz for 40 years and has no signs of slowing down. His new album "Other People's Stuff” was released in December 2018 following his engagement. Mellencamp, 67, and Ryan, 57, have had an on-off relationship since 2011, but they split in 2014. They reconciled in 2017 and announced their engagement in November 2018.
Mellencamp and Ryan had some issues with the long-distance aspect of their relationship, with Ryan living in New York City and Mellencamp in his home state of Indiana. But it seems Mellencamp ended up buying a place in New York to be closer to the actress. "Meg lives here in New York,” Mellencamp told TODAY in December 2018, who says he can paint for up to 12 hours a day. "There's no place to paint where she lives. So I bought this place to paint."
"I'm engaged at 67 to a very funny woman; the funniest woman I ever met," Mellencamp told TODAY. Both he and Ryan have been married before: Mellencamp three times; Ryan once, to actor Dennis Quaid. Between them, they have seven children.
Mellencamp’s daughter, Teddi, is a fan of her future stepmom. She told Page Six: “When you think of Meg Ryan, she’s like all those things you want her to be. She actually is that person … you know, I just think Meg’s an amazing person. She’s kind and she’s smart and she’s funny and she’s one of those people that when you’re talking to her, she really listens.”

“My dad watches,” she said. “I can say that and I have to get — hear his two cents on everything as well, which is never actually the storyline. It’s something like, ‘Teddi. Why do you wear so many hats?’ And I’m like, ‘Because sometimes, Dad, I don’t want to do my hair. Like, why are you noticing this? There’s other things we’re dealing with here!'”
2. She was an equestrian.
Teddi was born in Bloomington, Indiana and raised in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Teddi made a name for herself at a young age as a competitive equestrian. Teddi’s husband is Edwin Arroyave who is a CEO and founder of Skyline Security Management, Inc., one of the largest authorized dealers of Brinks Home Security. He and Teddi live in Los Angeles and have two children: a daughter, Slate, and a son, Cruz. Teddi is also stepmother to Isabella, Edwin’s daughter from a previous relationship.
5. Teddi is the center of drama with the housewives this season of RHOBH.
Teddi is very much involved in the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" drama surrounding Lucy Lucy Applejuice, a dog Dorit Kemsley adopted from Lisa Vanderpump's dog rescue, Vanderpump Dogs. Kemsley was called out by one of Vanderpump's employees to Mellencamp and Kyle Richards for giving the dog up to what she claimed was a "good home" after adopting her, only for the dog to end up in a kill shelter before being rescued once again by the foundation.
Teddi kept to her story that she wasn’t being directed by Vanderpump to bring up Dorit’s part to Vanderpump Dogs employee John Blizzard. But later, she confessed to Erika Girardi that she had initially been part of a plan to make their co-star look bad. “She fed me information,” Mellencamp claimed of Vanderpump. “I bit.”
Kemsley was shocked that Teddi’s hands were "not clean" in the "disgusting" situation, adding that she was "not as innocent" as she first thought.
