Wishing Beverly Hills 90210 alum Luke Perry a speedy recovery after suffering a stroke.

UPDATE: Luke Perry is dead.

Beverly Hills 90210 alum Luke Perry is currently in hospital after suffering a massive stroke. The actor was in his home in Sherman Oaks when paramedics received a call around 9:40 a.m. When paramedics arrived at his home, sources say Perry was responsive and talking. But his condition reportedly deteriorated afterward, and he was rushed to the hospital. A rep for Luke confirmed that he under observation at 11:20 a.m. ET on Feb. 28.

According to TMZ, doctors have since placed Perry in a medically induced coma. The stroke reportedly described as being “massive.” No further information about the actor’s condition was released. This comes a few years after Perry became an advocate for testing for colon cancer after undergoing a colonoscopy in 2015 that revealed precancerous growths. The 52-year-old was just recently shooting new episodes of Riverdale on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles, TMZ reported. Perry stars as Archie’s dad, Fred, on the hit CW show.

Luke became a Hollywood teen sensation playing the role Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills 90210. Perry starred on 90210 from 1990-1995, but left after five years so he could take on more serious acting roles. Perry returned to the series in 1998 and was a regular cast member until the series ended in 2000. The show is being revived this summer but Perry is not part of the cast, along with Shannen Doherty. The new Beverly Hills 90210 will air in summer 2019, starring Jason Priestly, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling.

The reboot will feature the actors playing “heightened versions of themselves,” as they reunite to plan a 90210 reunion. The script is inspired by the stars’ real lives and relationships rather than fictional storylines. With Perry’s health making headlines, fans are wondering about his personal life and whether he’s married.
