It's hard to ever assume when the infamously indecisive pair are really together because they could be broken up the very next day or hour even.

1. Culpo and Amendola were coy about the start of their relationship.
Instead of officially confirming their relationship, they teased fans with hints of their possible coupling. In February 2016, a man who many thought was Amendola appeared in one of Culpo's Snapchat videos. The pair were both wearing Patriots helmets (the team Amendola was playing for at the time).
Culpo didn't confirm who the man in the video was, but eagle-eyed fans also noticed that Amendola was the only player for that team that she was following on Twitter.
Culpo didn't make their relationship social media official until May 2016, however. She posted a boomerang of her with Amendola in Las Vegas.
For his part, Amendola spoke out in January 2018 about how he and Culpo met, which was almost two years since they started dating. “I met her on the corner of Hollywood and Vine, just walking down the street and we bumped into one another. It’s crazy.” the football player reportedly said. He also called her "very supportive."
2. Amendola isn't the only famous athlete Culpo has dated.
It seems as though the former beauty pageant star might have a type. Amendola isn't the only well-known athlete Culpo has had a relationship with nor is he the only football player she's been involved with.
In 2015, Culpo had a short-lived romance with former quarterback Tim Tebow. And in 2012, she was rumored to have dated Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte. Lochte himself even reportedly commented on his relationship with Culpo during an interview with E! News. "She is beautiful. I love hanging out with her. She has a great sense of humor, she makes me laugh, she's just a good girl to hang out with." he reportedly said.
She also had a pretty long relationship with Nick Jonas. Jonas isn't an athlete, but who could forget that one time that everyone, including Culpo herself, thought that the youngest JoBro had proposed to her on live television.
3. They have a long history of breaking up and getting back together.
The twosome is absolutely notorious for their on-again/off-again relationship. It seems as though Culpo and Amendola are always breaking up every couple months and then rekindling their romance again. Due to this, it's super hard to keep track of their status as a couple.
For a quick refresher of their infamous breakups and makeups, the pair reportedly spent the recent New Year together, despite the fact that Culpo herself had confirmed the couple's split only two months earlier in November. The former Miss Universe responded with a firm "no" after being asked if she was dating again during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
However, this isn't the first instance of the couple breaking up only to get back together a few months later. Back in March 2018, the couple had appeared to officially call it quits after they both stopped following each other on Instagram. And Culpo soon verified their breakup as well. She reportedly told Access Hollywood, "We are broken up and it's just so fresh for me. I really don't feel comfortable talking about it."
Nonetheless, the elusive pair were spotted together once again only a few months later in June of that year, reportedly getting pretty cozy with each other at a friend's wedding.
Although neither party has confirmed if they're currently back on, a source close to Amendola reportedly told Hollywood Life that the couple has reconciled. “Danny can’t quit Olivia, he thinks she is too hot and feels that their chemistry is undeniable. Despite some mistakes he has made in their relationship, Danny feels lucky that Olivia has forgiven him and he believes they are destined to be together,” the source stated.
However, the source also revealed that Amendola is "not looking for a commitment from Culpo or anything like that" and instead they are just "taking things one step at a time."
4. Amendola has been accused of cheating on Culpo.
The couple have also been afflicted by cheating rumors. In October 2018, Amendola was spotted on the beach in Miami with another woman. This was before one of the pair's many breakups in November. However, the woman in the photos wasn't Culpo as the former Miss Universe was seen in Los Angeles just a day before the photos were taken.
This was officially confirmed after the woman was discovered to be Bianca Peters, a sports reporter, and not Culpo. The cheating scandal was also rumored to be the reason why Culpo and Amendola broke up in November.
5. Did Culpo rebound with Jamie Foxx?
In December 2018, actor Jamie Foxx hosted a celebrity-filled yacht party and Culpo was one of the attendees. Photos also caught Foxx posing for pictures that Culpo was taking of him on a phone.
The photos stirred a lot of speculation, especially since Foxx has already been involved in a relationship with actress Katie Holmes for a while now. Holmes was also reportedly on the same yacht with Foxx that Culpo was on, but just a few days earlier. And although it was originally reported that Holmes was "upset" over Culpo and Foxx being spotted together, the sources turned out to be unreliable on that claim.
There's also the fact that Culpo spent New Year's with Amendola, even though their relationship status hasn't been officially confirmed yet.
6. Were Culpo and Amendola ever engaged?
Perhaps Nick Jonas wasn't the only one who tried proposing to the model. Before their breakup in November 2018, there was heavy speculation that Amendola might have been ready to pop the question. A source reportedly told US Weekly back in early October 2018 that the couple was "likely to get engaged sooner rather than later." The source also said that, “Olivia and Danny are better than they’ve ever been this time around," going on to call their relationship "very strong and happy."
However, neither Culpo nor Amendola ever officially commented on any of the rumors surrounding their possible engagement and as we already know, the pair broke up in the very next month after the speculation started.
7. There are a few other reasons as to why their relationship is so troubled.
Although the cheating rumors are what really caught a lot of steam, there are some other possible reasons as to why Culpo and Amendola have a hard time pinning down an official relationship status.
During the pair's March 2018 breakup, a source reportedly told E! News that the reason for their split was due to having such differing lifestyles. "Danny couldn't handle Olivia's demanding lifestyle and wasn't pleased with certain choices she was making. The constant travel was also causing a rift." the source revealed.
However, the subject of their different lifestyles came up once again during their split later that year. Another source, who was close to the Miami Dolphins, reportedly told US Weekly that constant traveling, as well as their opposing mindsets, were the causes for the separation. “They barely hang out anymore, especially during the football season. It’s hard because they are both traveling. Olivia is all about the celebrity culture. It’s her life. Danny is all about sports and football. It’s not the greatest match.”
Distance has also been cited as a possible cause for the pair's on/off coupling. In March 2018, a source reportedly told US Weekly that distance was the reason for the breakup. “It had to do with the distance and them barely seeing each other.” The source also disclosed that Amendola's relocation to Miami may have also caused a rift. “He got signed to the Miami Dolphins and Olivia wasn’t going to move there.”
Currently, neither one has confirmed if they're really back together or not. But with a couple as indecisive as Culpo and Amendola, we honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was either way.
