A person doesn't have to be an introvert to need space from time-to-time. So, when a guy says he just wants to be alone and nothing is wrong with the relationship, it's okay to feel worried, just believe him.
The ways by which men are taught to release emotions are much different than those of women. Women are encouraged to talk their feelings over and cry when needed. Conversely, men are shown much more aggressive means of catharsis.
Through sports and physical contact, they are ingrained with the idea that outward displays of sadness need to be repressed. However, the year is 2018 and many are much more outspoken when it comes to men showing the same emotional range as women.
Yet, not everything can be talked over or fought through. Everyone has a breaking point and sometimes everything becomes a bit too much. Couples become stuck in their routines and the initial honeymoon phase spark begins to fizzle out. This doesn't always mean that the relationship is about to end. Sometimes, through talking it out, therapy, or tough love, couples can find their way again.
The phrase "needing space" has a negative connotation and can be synonymous to a break-up. Other times, it is as stated. One way to help figure out which course of action is needed is through astrology.
I know what you’re thinking because I once thought the same thing, astrology is fake. Even for those who fiercely check their horoscopes know that with astrology comes doubt. It's hard to believe interpretations of the stars.
It's even harder to believe that the stars have anything to say about you. Life is put into perspective when you think of something so massive being a small part of who you are. There's also the fact that we're inherently narcissistic and like the idea that we contain the universe inside of us.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are known for being passionate and honest. However, these attributes have a flip-side. Passion can turn fiery and honesty can be rude. When an Aries says they "need space" it's most likely because they got themselves so worked up that they need time alone to process the intensity of their emotions.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are the friend everyone wants. Fiercely loyal and always reliable, they will show up to the occasion. However, loyalty can turn possessive and their stubborn side will be revealed. Attaching themselves to not only their causes, but also people, can result in unending arguments but also unyielding devotion. For a Taurus to walk away, it means that they have given up.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are the communicators. They are always willing to talk through a situation and hear you out. Appreciative and empathetic, they will try their best to understand your point of view. Do not fret if a Gemini tells you that they need some time. They are simply gathering their thoughts and will come back with a solution or compromise.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are the over thinkers. They will go over various scenarios in vivid detail while mulling over the emotional toll each option will take. If a Cancer needs some space, it is due to their own insecurity.
They believe that there is nothing they can do to fix whatever occurred and will become trapped in their head. If you want to draw them back, you have to be the one to make the first move.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos love to be the center of attention. They show confidence, whether real or feigned, in everything they do. If you are in a relationship with a Leo, you should take pride in the fact that they value you as much as they value themselves.
However, if a Leo wishes to take some time to themselves, there is cause for worry. They take pride in the people they spend time with so if they wish to leave, they no longer see the benefits of the relationship.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are very organized in their thoughts. They are constantly analyzing and put effort into the people they choose to care about. Committed in their relationships, they make excellent partners because they remember the little details and make every date memorable. However, if they begin to break away it means that they are either feeling poorly about themselves or unsure about their investment in you.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are fair minded and hate to be alone. In relationships they are clingy and conforming. Never wanting to be a part, it would be strange if a Libra asked for some space. This would not mean that the relationship is over, but that there is an argument on te horizon. Libras will do anything to avoid confrontation which includes distancing themselves.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios express themselves fully. When they're angry, you will feel the full force of their wrath. Conversely, you'll feel every ounce of their joy. Relationships with Scorpios are never in neutral. Fiercely dedicated and motivated to keep you, Scorpio's are never secretive about their feelings. If they ever ask for space, it is because they are suddenly wary of you. Something within your arguments has given them reason to feel on edge.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius don't like being tied down. Determined and goal-oriented, they will not let anyone stop them from achieving their dreams. If they say that they need space, it is because you no longer fit into their life plan. Sagittarius are constantly looking for the next exciting project or the next goal to chase down. In this case it is definitely not you, but them.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are the heads of the household. Natural born leaders, they take charge in times of crisis. This comes at a cost as they are easily agitated. If they need space it is likely that they need a safe space to reevaluate the situation. They are pessimists to the core so some reassurance on your end that everything is okay will go a long way.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius are introverted, but not out of shyness. They just like being alone and the perks of understanding everything within themselves without explanation. If they ask for space, they are either dodging emotional expression or the world got a little too loud.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are very caring to the point of going above and beyond for others. If they say that they need space it is because they are scared. Perhaps of commitment or even more likely, the argument you just got in with them. A single problem can cause a Pisces to spiral. Often becoming a victim, they will isolate themselves so you can "save" them.
