New Details About The Reason Why Logan Paul and Chloe Bennet Broke Up

Logan Paul and Chloe Bennet have officially broken up.

PEOPLE is reporting that a source close to the couple has confirmed the news. Rumors that the the Agents of Shield actress and the YouTuber were dating began when fans had spotted Logan and Chloe kissing in one of his Instagram stories.

Bennet finally confirmed — and defended — the relationship in July via Twitter.

Logan Paul certainly had a rocky start to 2018 when it came to his career and reputation. The 23-year old was slammed for posting a highly insensitive video in a forest in Japan known for being a place where people go to commit suicide.

He was immediately hit with backlash from news outlets and social media. Celebs, including Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, also chimed in.

Following the controversy, Logan Paul removed the video two days later, but by then the damage already had been done.

He then uploaded an apology video to his YouTube channel.

"I've made a severe and continuous lapse of my judgment, and I don't expect to be forgiven. I'm simply here to apologize."

"So, what came across that day in the woods was obviously unplanned and the reactions you saw on tape were raw. They were unfiltered. None of us knew how to react or how to feel. I should have never posted the video. I should have put the cameras down and stopped recording what we were going through. There's a lot of things I should have done differently, but I didn't. And for that, from the bottom of my heart, I am sorry."

By the time summer rolled around, the focus had shifted to Logan Paul and Chloe Bennet's romance. After she confirmed the two were together, Logan posted a touching tribute to Chloe on his Instagram.

"i never thought it was possible but this girl has won my heart one of the MANY reasons i love Chloe: over the past year she’s experienced ALL my ups & all my downs. and as most of you know... mainly downs BUT. she never turned her back on me, she didn’t publicly shame me, and she didn’t hop on the “I Hate Logan Paul” bandwagon...Instead, she stuck her neck out for me, risked her career and personal friendships, and chose to help me grow as a human being & educate me on how to use my platform more responsibly... WHICHHHH all allowed me to learn from my mistakes, because she saw something special in me - and to anyone giving her a hard time, please do not hold Chloe accountable for MY actions in the past; instead recognize her efforts to help me become a better man & do good on this floating rock. That’s a queen right there. My queen love ya girlfriend sorry for being cheesy AFFF @ChloeBennet #Chlogan"

While Chloe and Logan have not personally commented on the reason for the breakup, a source told ET, “They very much care about each other but their lives are not compatible right now. They’re taking time to just focus on themselves.”

So, what's next for the young stars?

Chloe is continuing to work on Agents of Shield and her acting career, while Logan is taking his controversial year and turning it into a documentary. Logan's brother, Jake Paul, is also another viral star, who is the focus of new eight-part series from vlogger Shane Dawson.

Despite the breakup, Chloe and Logan may run into each other again soon enough — at least on the red carpet. They both appear in the upcoming film Valley Girl, which is currently in post-production.
