What Do Kaia Gerber's Tattoos Mean? New Details About Cindy Crawford's Daughter's Latest Ink

getty Kaia Gerber is one of the most famous models in the world right now, and it's totally appropriate considering the 17-year old is technically part of fashion royalty. Her mother is none other than legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford.
Cindy ruled the catwalks in the 90's as part of the beloved OG supermodel crew with fellow fashion elites like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Christy Turlington. It's now her daughter's turn to step into the limelight among today's top models.
And yeah, we also can't get over how much Kaia looks like her mom. Seriously! Sometimes you're not sure who's who in some of their modeling shots.
Like most girls her age — and in the modeling world — Kaia is active on Instagram. She's already amassed a huge social media presence, with as many as 3.9 million followers. She may be Cindy's daughter, but now she's making a path of her own.
That also means the world is curious about what she's up to, and as it turns out, that includes a couple of new tattoos.

On Oct. 6, Kaia was featured in an Instagram post with tattoo artist Rafael Valdez in Malibu. In the post shared by Valdez, he talks about having a fun session with Kaia and her brother, Presley Gerber, in which the two siblings are pictured in different shots getting tattoos.
So, with Kaia being just 17-years old, fans assumed this was an occasion to mark her very first tattoo. The young model even shared a selfie a few days later in which you can see the small tattoo on the inside of her arm.

It's tiny writing in cursive, making it hard to decipher initially, but according to Page Six, the tattoo is Kaia's middle name, Jordan. Of course, she played it cool in the Instagram post with the simple caption, "just coming on here to say I don’t think enough people talk about the weather these days".
Well, it looks like one tattoo just wasn't going to cut to it.
PEOPLE is reporting that on Monday, Kaia shared a photo of herself to her Instagram Stories feed featuring a second tattoo. The other ink is on the inside of one of her legs and though partially hidden, appears to be the bottom of a rocket ship.
It's not clear whether Kaia already had the leg tattoo before or simply had gotten two tattoos during her visit to Valdez's tattoo parlor. She also has not commented on the meaning behind the rocket ship tattoo either.
Big bro Presley definitely has a head start when it comes to getting inked. He even has his own tattoo tribute to baby sister, Kaia.
Back in February, Presley got a tattoo on his left tricep that reads "Kaia XXIII". It's not clear what the number 23 is meant to reference, but E! News reports that theories include their birth date numbers combined — or perhaps the date of Kaia's couture show debut at Paris Fashion Week.
Either way, it's safe to say these two siblings get along well.
So, what do their parents think of all the tattoos? Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, totally approve. Rande commented on Presley's Kaia tattoo post with, “RG + JG APPROVED!” and Cindy added, “Cool.”
PEOPLE also points out that the legal age to get a tattoo is 18, which means mom and dad would have had to be on board anyway for Kaia to get inked.
