It's not easy to find someone you emotionally connect with, and when you do, you want to keep the communication lines open and close. Having an emotional connection with someone is a lot different than having a physical connection with them. You can be with someone physically and still no nothing about them. Your body doesn't really care what is middle name is, right?
No, all it cares about is getting taken care of by the other person, if you get my drift. Emotional connections can be just as intense as physical ones, but they are usually much deeper and built on a stronger foundation.
When you're emotionally connected to someone, you become somewhat of an empath to them. You're able to understand their mood swings and emotions better, and you know how to get them to open up to you because you know how their brain works.
You might already have an emotional connection to a zodiac sign right now. Maybe you know that Pisces needs to know he's in a safe space before he can open up or that Gemini feels more comfortable opening up over text message than face-to-face.
However they open up to you, you still have an emotional connection with them. In general, people want to know that you're on their side. He isn't likely to open up to you if he feels like your conversation is going to turn into a competition into who has more to vent about.
In any relationship, it should always be you and your partner working against the problem, not you working against each other. You should always be on the same team as your man, otherwise, you'll never have that emotional connection you want with him.
If you want to connect with him on an emotional level, you need to show him that you value what he has to say and that you're willing to listen and help however you can. If you show him that you don't really respect him, he's going to put up emotional walls that will never come down.

He loves the chase right before he locks you down because it challenges him to really sweep you off your feet. But after he catches you and makes it official, he wants to know that the chase wasn't the most exciting part of your relationship. Show him that you're a valuable part of his life by making your relationship a priority and he'll be happy to have you in his life.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Emotional closeness is very important in a relationship, but for some zodiac signs, so is physical closeness. One thing that always draws Taurus in is a partner who can let him know he's special without words. Touch is addicting to him, especially when it's used as a way to get closer.
You can keep him emotionally interested in you by using touch to emphasize his importance in your life. Hold his hand when you have deep talks, stroke his hair while you're bingeing Netflix, and let your fingers brush when you cook dinner together. It's so easy to put your flashiest foot forward when you start dating someone – you want to make the best first impression, after all. But that doesn't always attract the right people, like Virgo. Virgo definitely wants to get to know your best self, but you shouldn't be someone you're not.
The best way to keep him emotionally interested in you is to connect on an intellectual level. Virgo wants to know that you're someone he can have deep conversations with, not someone only worried about how good they look or if they can out-flirt him. He wants to pick your brain and get to know the real you, so you better be ready for a connection that transcends this plane.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Intimacy is not something that can replace emotional interest, but it can definitely help with a Libra. It's not so much the physical aspect of intimacy that can keep him interested but the closeness between you two. When you mutually fulfill your desires, you're emotionally attuned.
Keep him coming back for more by getting adventurous in the bedroom. Listen to what he wants and what he'd be interested in trying, rather than calling the shots and hoping he can keep up with you. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
