Did NeNe Leakes have plastic surgery? It looks like she went under the knife, and her changes are noticeably different. The 52-year-old The Real Housewives of Atlanta star first shocked fans at the 2018 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards.
While she has opened up about getting a nose job in the past, people were speculating that she had more recently gotten plastic surgery done again.
Although Leakes didn't immediately comment on the rumors, it wasn't clear what she had really done, but fans had their opinions nonetheless.
“Her face looks terrible she should have just left her face alone. Everyone knows that’s saying ‘if it’s not broke Don’t try to fix it,'” someone named Terri Rosser wrote on Facebook. And Joe Fredrick Johnson commented, “Rapidly turning to the Queen Bee smdh see that’s the thing, once you start going under the knife you can’t stop, it’s like an addiction and you need that next hit.” Another person said she "doesn't even want a nose at all." Yikes.
Of course, Leakes has the right to look however she wants to look. However, always being vocal, we can hold out hope that if she did have plastic surgery, she'd talk about it when she wanted to, like she did in 2016.
During an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Leakes told a caller that she got a nose job twice, the first one happening in 2010.
"I’m very comfortable and confident in myself. I just wanted a tune up,” she said, admitting that she got a nose job, smaller breast implants, and a lift, as well as liposuction. “I still wanted to look like NeNe, the black woman that I am,” she added, “but a better version.”
She said the second nose job was for a "real medical reason."
"My cartilage was growing in my nose, and my tip was touching the top of my lip," she told Andy Cohen. "But I didn't get a full rhinoplasty the first time. No, when I did the first time, I only had my nostrils taken in on the side the very first time, and then this time, I had more cartilage moved around in my nose."
She also said she was never trying to hide it. "I always keep it very, very real. So you can always ask me anything," she said. "I would never just do my nose just for the purpose of doing my nose."
And back then, she even had a message for her haters which still probably rings true today.
"I got a lot of comments about it too on my social media. People are constantly judging and picking people apart," she said. "First of all, educate yourself and get the reason why. But I'm also the kind of girl that will give it to you straight. I got my nose done, first of all, because I can and I will and I will get it done again if I want to, OK?"
The outspoken actress opened up about her plastic surgery yet again in 2019.
In an interview with Wendy Williams, Leakes answered questions, one of which was whether or not she'd have any more surgeries that she would want to get done.
She said, “Oh yes! Lots of things. I’d do my boobs again. I’d keep my implants and just move my tissue around.” She also said that she'd be willing to do more surgery to her nose, adding, "They say as you get older your nose gets longer. I would be no good if I woke up with my nose like that. I love a good filler!”
As for what she wouldn't do, Leakes admitted that she wouldn't want to get a facelift or anything done to her backside, because as she explained, “Oh no, I got hips, and I feel like I’ll look like a wide truck.”
She also said that she's never had Botox: “I won’t do it because I’m an actress I have to move my face around.”
Leakes then went on to encourage anyone who was interested in plastic surgery to do it if they wanted to. “Ladies, don’t believe what these people are saying. If you need a nip and tuck, please go and get it. I promise you. I don’t care what they goes to say, if you can afford it go and get it. If your husband tells you you like fine, he’s lying.”
