How To Pick The Best Weight Loss Diet For Your Body Type

If diets and healthy eating haven't helped you reach your weight loss goals, it could be because you're going about dieting and fitness all wrong. When it comes to losing weight, the key to picking the best way how to lose weight for you and your body is all about knowing your "body type."

According to Dr. Carolyn Mein, a body type expert, there are 25 different body types and all are unique one in what they need and how they function best.

Each of the 25 different body types has a very different relationship with food, cravings, and weight gain than the others, which means that the best way to lose weight for one body type likely won't be as effective for another.

That's why figuring out your body type can help you improve your health and reach your weight loss goals — from knowing which foods are best for your body type to the size and number of meals you should have daily.

Your body type even correlates to how your body holds and stores fat, which is why knowing it can help you pick the most effective diet and exercise plan for you!

The foods you crave and the diet you rely on are all pretty consistently linked, says Dr. Carolyn Mein, and they're dependent upon your body type.

For example, some people are able to eat huge breakfasts that sustain them throughout the day, eating very little at other meals. Other people might not really eat breakfast, but need to have a good-sized lunch to power them through the rest of the day without feeling sleepy or hungry every couple of hours.

Or perhaps you’re the sort of body type that has more energy with a vegetarian diet, whereas your friend might do better with a protein-packed meal plan.

Quite simply, what your body needs and what weight loss diet will work best for you all depends on your body type.

Simply put, what works for someone else may not work for you. So, in order to take care of your health and work toward your weight loss goals, it’s important that you first uncover what parts of your current weight loss plan are negatively affecting your body.

That way, you can find out how to change it for the better and start being more in tune with your body type's needs — which will help you lose weight, too.
