With the recent disturbing sexual assault charges brought up against Charlamagne Tha God, he has been a topic of discussion lately. Although most know him as a host from the popular radio show, The Breakfast Club or from his many stints with MTV, what many don't know is that he's been in a relationship for quite a long time.
Charlamagne is known for being outspoken on many subjects, but something he rarely ever talks about is his family. Is Charlamagne Tha God married? Though you may not be able to tell from his social media accounts or public appearances, the answer is yes.
Jessica Gadsden is Charlamagne Tha God's wife and there's a good reason as to why no one really knows much about her or their relationship. This is because they've been extremely secretive about it. In fact, in March 2018, the pair was spotted out together and it was only one of the very few times that the two have been seen in public.
So who is Jessica Gadsden? Here are some details about Charlamagne Tha God's wife and their very private relationship.
1. They were high school sweethearts.
Charlamagne and Gadsden met when they were only teenagers and started dating at 16. However, they didn't get married until 2014. The couple has two daughters together and Charlamagne once admitted that one of his daughters was the reason why he and Gadsden got married, referring to Gadsden as the mother of his kids and not by name. “You have to show your kids love. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to get married," he said. "Me and the mother of my kids have been together since high school. When you have your seven-year-old daughter asking why you and mommy don’t have the same last name, that affects you as a man.”
2. Gadsden is very successful.
She went to college and earned three degrees. Gadsden then went on to become an extremely successful personal trainer and fitness coach. One of Gadsden's degrees is in Business Administration and Management, so she has been able to manage her own fitness career and has earned $1 million from her success.
3. She doesn't have any social media.
Not anymore, at least. Gadsden used to have an Instagram, but she reportedly deleted it. Although Charlamagne has millions of followers on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, his wife doesn't have any social media anymore. Charlamagne has spoken about his desire to keep his personal life and children separate from his public life. "First of all, I’m not raising my kids via social media. I never felt like that was a place for my family to be. I don’t knock anyone who does it, but I don’t want my family on Facebook or Twitter. That’s something I chose not to do."
4. They've cheated on each other.
The radio personality has been pretty open about both him and his wife's infidelity. Charlamagne revealed that both he and Gadsden have cheated on each other before on an episode of his podcast, Brilliant Idiots. Cheating seems to be a topic that Charlamagne is hardly willing to shy away from. He has also tweeted about it on his account and mentioned the subject of cheating on other episodes of his podcast.
5. Has Charlamagne abused Gadsden?
A 2013 video has resurfaced of Charlamagne addressing the Chris Brown and Rihanna abuse scandal.
In the video, Charlamagne says he is "not surprised" Brown hit Rihanna. “The reason I’m not surprised is because we all put our hands on our chick at some point. Y’all can sit there and act like y’all haven’t, you’ve choked a chick or at least pinched her. That happens, things happen," he explained, even going so far as admitting he's done it himself. He said that at 16, he found his girlfriend cheating on him. “I just saw white. I just saw white and red. We butt naked and she’s under me," he explained while making gestures indicating he was fighting her.
Though he didn't mention Gadsden by name, Charlamagne and Gadsden have been together since they were teenagers and he admitted that they've both cheated on each other, so it's likely he may be speaking about their relationship.
6. Charlamagne rarely ever mentions Gadsden on his social media accounts.
Charlamagne has only tweeted about his wife a few times since he's had a Twitter page (one of which was after the photo of the two of them in public together came out.) Most notably in 2016, he posted a tweet mentioning his wife, which prompted some very surprised comments from confused fans who obviously had no idea that the radio personality was even in a relationship.
7. They don't have a prenup.
Although Charlamagne is worth $10 million dollars and Gadsden is also a millionaire, the couple reportedly does not have a prenuptial agreement. Charlamagne revealed this information in his podcast. He clarified by saying that the length of their relationship did not require one.
