Trouble in (bachelor) paradise?

Did Derek Peth and Taylor Nolan break up? The #instagramgoals couple fell in love on the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise and became engaged on the reunion show in front of a live audience. Since then, they've shared adorable couple moments all over their respective Instagram pages. (Taylor and Derek on a New York balcony!) (Taylor and Derek kissing while he holds her in his arms!) (Taylor and Derek in their bathing suits in Hawaii!)
But recently, there's been a bit of chi- chat about whether or not the couple is still together and engaged because neither of them have posted photos of each other in quite some time. (Oh, the Internet...eyeroll.)
Here's what we know so far about the Derek Peth Taylor Nolan breakup rumors:
1. Taylor was seen at a club without her engagement ring on.
When in Las Vegas without Derek, Taylor commented on the status of their relationship. She said she" totally sees a future with him” and they are learning to “handle the challenges that come up” in their relationship.
Later on while out at a nightclub, fans noticed that she didn't have her wedding ring on. Bad sign — or simply not wanting to lose her ring while partying in Vegas? You decide.
2. Taylor allegedly gave her number out to a guy.
There were also reports that Taylor gave her number out to a male. "On Friday night she gave her number to a guy friend of mine and then came to our table at the club last night. None of us let on that we knew she was on the show and she never mentioned it..."
"..She and her friends — they were there for Derek’s sister’s bachelorette party —sat at our table all night last night and then when we were going to the Zedd show, she blew us all off and got friendly with a guy who had a table inside.. She never once mentioned she was engaged either night we saw her.”
3. They've been living on opposite sides of the country.
Taylor is posted up on the west coast in Seattle, Washington. Although she has said she has some flexibility to move, she hasn't yet. Derek is originally from Wavery, Iowa but has been traveling a lot on the east coast to Chicago, Florida, Nashville and works out of New York City. The couple has said they want to move together and have been thinking Los Angeles, New York City, or Seattle. But as of now, they're still living separately.
4. They almost split once before...
When the scandal between Bachelor contestants Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson temporarily shut down filming, it almost halted Nolan and Peth's relationship, too. "During the shutdown, we discussed that maybe we shouldn’t try this,” Nolan said. “But then we couldn’t stop talking to each other. We'd FaceTime each other, brush our teeth together and just be up super-late talking on the phone.” Peth added, "Originally we were like, ‘This is fun, but we're in different states. We tried to be realistic and then it turned out I couldn't stay away from her.'”
5. ...but they've made it through tough times before.
While filming Bachelor In Paradise, the couple had an explosive fight that started with just two words. Taylor was trying to have a conversation with Derek about communication in their relationship. Derek told Taylor to "f**k off," which triggered a very emotional response from her. She said the phrase triggered pain from her emotional past. Thankfully, the couple was able to patch things up and continue their romance.
6. The couple hasn't been posting Instagram photos of each other.
After Bachelor in Paradise wrapped Nolan and Peth were sharing a lot of cute couple photos together. However, in the past few week, it's mostly been solo shots of Taylor and radio silence (save for some stories) from Derek. Hmmm. Is social media silence an indicator?
7. Taylor says she's in it for the long haul, though.
"We just did an episode on my podcast, Let’s Talk About It, about our emotional piggybank as, like, a relationship check-in and just a little bit of relationship maintenance, you know? It’s going well,” Taylor said. "It’s weird, because there are definitely times where he is my best friend, he is my lover, and I totally see this whole future with him — then there are other times where I’m like, ‘I could punch you, but, like, a love punch...’"
"...But honestly, he really is like my best friend and I’m really happy to be experiencing these different things with him and seeing how we handle the challenges that come up in our relationship has been the fun, magical, messy part of the relationship..."
"...It will be coming up on a year here soon since we met in June, so that’s just wild to think about. So much as happened in the scheme of our relationship so far.”
Guess we'll just have to see if these two ultimately decide to walk down the aisle together — Chris Harrison is champing at the bit!
