The Best And Worst Athletic Sports For Your Horoscope By Zodiac Sign

Do you like to play athletic sports? I am not someone who particularly enjoys playing or watching sports, despite what my zodiac sign says about me.

Granted, I am a HUGE hockey fan and an MMA fan, and will get really into watching the game, but that's about it.

When I was younger, I played basketball for four years. I was also a band nerd, which ended up winning out over the basketball.

There's just something about organized sports that I never really enjoyed. If I choose to work out at all (which isn't very often), I tend to gravitate towards sports like yoga, Pilates, and shredding it at the gym; I work out best when I'm on my own.

But when it comes to watching sports, I do have to say that I like the more extreme and aggressive sports, like the ones mentioned above.

There's just something I love about being able to sit on my couch and let the athletes duke it out while I yell at my television that I like more than actually going out and doing the same thing.

Call me lazy or unmotivated, I don't care. I like the things I like and playing sports is not one of those things.

But of course, I know that other horoscopes don't feel the same as I do. Other zodiac signs tend to be the exact opposite, in fact.

They are the people who love to sweat and playing sports gets their adrenaline up.

Sometimes, even watching sports gets their adrenaline up.

The only thing watching sports gets me is worked up because I'm always screaming at my hockey team to do better. But I digress.

What I love most about zodiac signs and the sports they like the most is that every horoscope and zodiac sign in astrology is different.

Some like more low-intensity sports because it's safer, and they find that it's more about having fun than sweating it out, while others just want a sport with healthy competition.

And what makes that so great is when you really love a sport, you always try your hardest to be your best at it.

Whether you want to nail that serve in tennis or stick that yoga pose, when you love the sport you're doing, you're more likely to achieve your fitness goals because you want to see your progress through to the end.

These are the sports that usually totally bore you. Like me, for example. Golf, baseball, and soccer are probably the most boring sports ever to me.

So, wanting to watch them, let alone even try to play them is a big no-no.

I would rather watch paint dry than watch those specific sports.

You don't have to agree with me, but you can agree that there are some sports that make you feel exactly how I feel about these sports.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

The best sports for you as an Aries to play and watch are the ones that play to your strengths. You are a naturally competitive person, someone who thrives in adventurous situations, so MMA, boxing, and wrestling appeal to you.

If you’re not actually playing the sport, you still want to watch something that will get your heartrate up and excite you, like extreme sports such as skydiving and mountain biking.

The worst sports for you to play or watch are any sports that don't have a lot of action or are way too team-based. Stay away from sports like golf, yoga, swimming, or volleyball because all they do is make you want to fall asleep. For you, sports are synonymous with excitement, which to you, these sports most definitely are not.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

As a Taurus, you're all about making sure that you can have fun no matter what you do in life. For that reason, sports like weight lifting and body building that allow you to work your butt off and still be able to eat all of your favorite foods are right up your alley.

You also like sports where you can connect with the earth like soccer, football, or lacrosse. You don't care if it's competitive or not, as long as you're having fun.

The worst sports for you are the ones that take up all of your time. You like having the balance between work and play just as much as anyone else, but when you have to eat, sleep, and breathe sports, you're just not into it.

At that point, you'd rather just park yourself on the couch and watch the sports instead of play. Stay away from professional sports that require all of your time; stick with recreational sports instead.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

You're all about meeting new people and enjoying life, Gemini. Whether you're playing or watching, you enjoy both team sports and one-on-one sports; just not anything where you're completely on your own.

The best sports for you are the ones where you can socialize, like volleyball or rowing, and play to your adaptability and quickness, like one-on-one tennis.

The worst sports for you are the ones that don't let you work with teammates or be friendly with your competition You want to have fun, but you also don't want to be isolated from everyone else.

Sports like cross-country running or swimming (when not on a team) make you feel like you're completely alone, which is conducive to your outgoing nature.

CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

Cancer, you're not normally the sport-loving type, but that doesn't mean you can't be if you don't apply yourself. When you're at your best, you're both energetic and calm; not the least bit all over the place.

The best sports for you when you're feeling your best and want to keep being the best you can be are yoga to keep you calm and any outside sport where you can enjoy the beauty of the world, like sailing and kayaking. Sports you should stay away from are any ones that will make you feel overwhelmed or all over the place.

These sports are usually ones that require you to be aggressive (which you're totally not) or require you to make quick decisions, like playing basketball or football. Even when you watch sports, you want to see athletes doing the same sports you would play.

LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leo, the best sports for you are the ones that require you to be your absolute best self and show you proof that a lot of hard work can make a difference.

It doesn't really matter what specific kind of sport you play, but one that needs you to be aggressive and committed, like Olympic-level sports or professional sports, are perfect for you. Plus, you like the rewards that come with success.

The worst sports for you are the ones that don't make you feel accomplished in the eyes of others. You aren't someone who necessarily needs validation from other people. 

When you have the chance to make an impact in your own life and show it off to others, it makes you want to work even harder. Stay away from recreational sports as the lack of real competition tends to bore you quickly.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

Virgo, you're all about routine and trying to be better for yourself, not everyone else. You're not a huge fan of competitive sports, so you tend to gravitate towards recreational sports with low intensity, like walking every morning or going to the gym.

Your main objective is to get healthy, not be aggressive, so any sport you can do on your own with the anxiety of having to beat out someone else is perfect for you. That said, the sports you should stay away from are the ones that are all about competition.

Football, basketball, and even baseball are all way too competitive for you. You would much rather beat your own personal best rather than have to beat everyone else's too. If you do find a competitive sport you're into, you still usually choose an individual sport over a team sport.

Libra, you  want to make sure that no matter what sport you choose, you still feel beautiful and dignified. And for you, beautiful sports are the ones where you can dress up or do the sport for the simple beauty of it, not because you want to sweat.

Figure skating and fencing are those kinds of sports. You also want a sport that requires balance, like surfing, yoga, and ballet. The sports you should stay away from are the ones that do require you to really sweat it out. You're not afraid of sweating, but if that's all you get out of your workout, then you're not interested.

You love balancing work and play, but if there's a sport you really love, you're willing to give up that balance so that you can really commit. If you feel too overwhelmed, though, that sport probably isn't for you.

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

You might not be incredibly sport-driven, but you do like challenging yourself and getting your sweat on. The best sports for you are the ones where you can find that physical challenge you're always looking for, like bodybuilding, as well as anything that thrills you, like skydiving, rock climbing, or white-water rafting.

The worst sports for you are ones that require you to stay in one place instead of move, like rowing, or ones that you deem boring. And judging from your thrill-seeking attitude, these sports are usually ones like golf or yoga. If your heartrate isn't up because you're sweating and your adrenaline is pumping, then you're out.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 19)

You're all about having fun and when it comes to sports, you don't discriminate. You're up for team sports and individual ones, as long as you can keep a smile on your face the whole time.

You're unique and strong, so the sport you choose should be, too. Horseback riding and archery are two sports that not a lot of people do, but ones that you would be very good at.

Any sport that you find typical or popular are ones you're not really into. Football, baseball, and even cross-country running are cool, but everyone does them already.

You don't really want to be a part of a sport that makes it harder for you to get recognition or have fun. You want to get outside of the box, out of your comfort zone, and prove you're not like everyone else.

Capricorn, you are dedicated in no matter what you do in life, so the best sports for you are the ones that support your dedication. You need to play (or even watch) a sport that makes you want to break limits, sweat, and show off just how much endurance you have.

Hockey, running, and boxing will make you want to set goals for yourself and then smash them like a boss. There's no sport that you would explicitly stay away from, but there are sports that you would rather use as a cooldown (instead of part of the actual workout).

Sports like yoga, Pilates, and recreational sports are better when your main goal is to relax and unwind, but when you want to get your heart pumping, you tend to stick to more physically demanding sports.

AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

You might have some fears about extreme sports, Aquarius, but you're still very drawn to sports that make you want to push your own limits and surprise yourself.

Even if you're just watching these sports, you're still interested in parachute jumping, paragliding, windsurfing, and anything that you find peaceful and awe-inspiring. And even if you're afraid, you'd still be willing to try anything first.

You're not really into sports that require you to work as a team because you don't feel like you're getting the most out of your workout that way. You don't mind exercising with a friend, but being part of a big group makes you feel like you're more likely to get lost in the crowd.

Plus, you like doing your own thing and in a team, you can't really be selfish, much to your disappointment.

As the fish of the zodiac, it seems almost too obvious, but the best sports for you are the ones that are water-based. You feel totally at ease doing sports like swimming, surfing, and sailing and you really feel like you're getting in touch with your truest self during these times.

The last thing you want to do is be someone other than yourself, so keep doing you, girl. Any sports that don’t let you do exactly what you want, when you want it, is not your style.

Team sports and sports that follow strict rules just make you feel like you're doing work, not enjoying yourself. You can put your mind to any sport you want, but it still has to feel like your choice to do so; you want to be in charge in addition to having fun.
