Welcome to the time of strong women. No longer do we sit around waiting for men to make the first moves. No longer do we stay at home raising the family while the men go to work and bring home the money.
No longer do we hold our tongues when we feel like we have something to say. No longer do we let men — or anyone else, for that matter — have complete control over us.
Don’t get me wrong. Sometimes we definitely like to be told what to do and be given some guidance.
I know more often than not, I even seek out someone to give me direction or tell me how to do something rather than figure it out on my own. This can be in any aspect of my life too; in love and relationships or in school and my professional life.
But it’s nice to know at the same time that I have the option to be in control of myself if that’s what I want.

I definitely like the feeling of freedom. I like the idea of not being held down by someone because they don't like the decision I am making. I like the idea of being able to do what I want with my money because it is my money, I earned it.
And I definitely like the idea of not being told how to behave or how to dress in a certain situation. I’m a big girl and I can figure it out myself.
Maybe sometimes we even let the men in our life think they’re in charge and in control of us, you know, to make them feel strong and manly. After all, relationships are all about a little give and take.
The things we’ll do for the people we love. But we know that these guys never truly have the power over our own lives. Just like we don't have power over theirs.
However, there are some independent zodiac signs that never let a man control her. If you look to astrology and your horoscope, you can gain a ton of insight into someone's character and the things they live their life by, and these zodiac signs will not give up their feeling of freedom or their goals for anything, and certainly not for a man who wants to feel in control.
Aries (March 21- April 19)
Aries is constantly looking for ways to prove how strong she is in just about every aspect of her life. She also looks for opportunities to take on leadership roles, so you better believe that she never wants to be told what to do, she wants to be the one in charge.
She is confident and won’t let anyone keep her down or make her believe she is worth less than she really is.
Aries is strong and you will never see a man, or anyone for that matter, controlling her.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
At first glance you might think you have the upper hand on Taurus, but you would be wrong. While she definitely enjoys material pleasures, she also enjoys power and the feeling of having it.
So don’t think you are going to gain control over her by showering her with fancy and expensive gifts. That’s just not how it works.
It’s called a gift for a reason, and she owes you nothing in return.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
You may think you have control over Gemini, but you would be wrong. Gemini just knows how to play her cards right, and she is always the one in control whether you know it or not.
She knows when to give into you to make you happy and seem like you’re in control of the situation, but she knows if it’s going too far or if she’ll be the one to end up hurt to take control back.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius is goal driven, so if your plans don’t line up with hers, bye!
She will not let anyone get in her way or control her and keep her from what she really wants out of life. And more importantly than chasing her goals, she just likes the overall feeling of freedom.
She likes the idea that she can make any decision or do anything she wants, and she will have people around her that will support that rather than control her and make her feel trapped.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn is already the master of self-control so she doesn’t need anyone else trying to control her. She knows what is best for her and that is what she plans on doing.
And even if you tried to control her, she is so stubborn that I promise you will give up before you even make a dent in persuading her to do something your way.
She is a strong girl and that is something you should respect, not try to change.
