5 Adorable Details About The Birth Of Amal And George Clooney's TWINS

Sorry to all the ladies that thought they may still have a chance with Hollywood elite George Clooney because he's now officially a DAD!

Yes, that's right. 

Amal and George Clooney confirmed to CNN the exciting news:

"This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days."

How cute!

I can just imagine how nervous he is. 

Having one baby is a feat all on its own but two?

And it's so great they had a boy and a girl!

Here's what we know about the dynamic duo, now plus TWO:

1. New of their pregnancy broke in February.

Julie Chen of CBS's The Talk broke the news by saying that Beyoncé and Jay-Z weren't the only celebrity couple having twins. 

So now that the Clooney's have delivered, we are just waiting on the Bey.

Come out, come out wherever you are! (OK, I didn't mean for that to sound as creepy as it did, promise.)

2. Amal Clooney worked throughout her pregnancy.

Amal Clooney, 39, is a well-established attorney and humanitarian.

Recently, she spoke at the United Nations regarding ISIS and genocide saying, “… I came here to discuss the need for accountability for crimes committed by ISIS. I spoke to you as the lawyer for a group of victims of ISIS’ crimes, including Nadia Murad, who as a 21-year old girl was enslaved and raped by ISIS militants in Iraq. My message to you was that ISIS is a global threat, which requires a global response. And that the response should not be limited to the battlefield: the UN should also investigate ISIS’ crimes and make sure that those responsible are brought to justice.”

George and the twins are blessed to have such an amazing woman in their lives who speaks for those who can't!

3. George Clooney skipped an event this weekend so he wouldn't miss the birth of his twins!

The 56-year-old actor was supposed to attend the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity ceremony in Yerevan, Armenia on Sunday but had to skip it. He joked in a video that, "I really would have been [in Yerevan] but if I came there and my wife had twins while I was there, I could never come home."

George seems to have a very light and funny attitude toward his new life adventure.

Back in March, he spoke with Extra: 

“I know swaddling… I know what I’m in for.” And he joked about the importance of diapers, saying, “[it’s important] for me, not for the kids.”

4. George and Amal got married in 2014 in Venice, Italy.

Amal's mother, Baria, told People, “George and Amal radiated love all night. The wedding was so unbelievably special, it was legendary. These three days – the friends, the families, the atmosphere, everything – will stay with me all the rest of my life.”

Some famous faces attended the wedding, including friend Matt Damon, and singer Bono of U2.
