We've all had to say goodbye to the people we love at some point in our lives. Whether it be a happy celebration or a sad goodbye, we all know how we react to having to let someone go for good.
Some people cry, some people laugh, some hold on for a long time, and some have nothing to say.
However you express your emotions, it is a universal truth that saying goodbye is a hard thing to do.
I most recently thought about my own reaction to saying goodbye. With the school year ending, I left my friends, my boyfriend and my professors — it was not easy for me this year.
I also found out a loved one is sick, and for the first time in my life I thought about how I would say goodbye to her.
I consider myself a fortunate person as I have not experienced very many sad goodbyes, mostly happy goodbyes with a hopeful feeling for the future.
