Knowing when to put your pride aside is essential to keeping certain relationships — especially when you're surrounded by people who will never let you have the last word.
It's a shame when two people don't get along due to clashing personalities. What if we don't find out just how much we clash with others until it's too late? We've either started a business with them or married them and started families.
Citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for your divorce when it comes down to clashing personalities is valid. Two people with this same quality probably would not get along simply because there tends to be so much tension.
If it's your best friend, just understand that there's a need for them to win arguments and, if it's not an important matter, give it to them. If it's a partner, talk through things, but understand just how much this personality trait affects you both. Hopefully, it's reconcilable.
The question is, is winning worth losing your relationship over? Ask yourself that question and think on it hard, because it could break or make your relationship.
