Forget cake!

Want to have a really memorable wedding? Something that really sticks out as something amazing for years to come? How about something amazing and wonderful to delight your guests and give attendees delicious memories that make them glad they RSVP’d?
If that sounds great, then you’ll want to give the people exactly what they want: A wall of awesome — and beautifully decorated — doughnuts to munch on after the ceremony.
That’s right: A wall of doughnuts. Not only is it one of the coolest wedding ideas, but it's delicious too.
If you’re looking for the absolute sweetest thing to show off at your reception, go no further than a tastefully decorated doughnut wall. This is one new wedding trend that’s just unbelievably sweet.
Traditional wedding cakes are seemingly becoming a thing of the past as more and more non-traditional desserts are starting to take center stage. You can be a creative, elegant, or even as quirky as you want. You can style your doughnuts in many ways, with as many colors as possible.
You can go for understated, crazy, or whatever your colors are. Heck, it doesn’t even need to be for your wedding! Have a doughnut wall party. Invite all your friends.
Or, just leave their invitations out and claim you forgot to send them, then eat a wall of doughnuts entirely by yourself. Treat yourself. Totally worth it!
Thus far, it has been mostly a wedding trend, but I’m certain we’ll see this sweet treat showing up at any number of events in the future. Whenever there’s celebrating to be done, it’s a surefire bet that you can’t miss your mark or repair any number of wrongs with a smorgasbord of perfect, sweet doughnuts.
If you’re a real DIYer, you can even decorate the “wall” with matching colors, and make it dramatic or understated. But really, you can’t go off the rails with sweets. I think it’s a shame that more people don’t decorate everything with desserts.
The best way to ensure that people will show up to your event is to bribe them with as many doughnuts as they can stuff their pockets with.
Don’t wait! Go and buy a box of Krispy Kreme (or two, for incidentals while working), and get started. Your guests will thank you, but your waistline? Probably not so much.
