How To Use A Purple Glass Dildo To Give Your Vagina Intense G-Spot Orgasms

Glass dildos used to scare me. I like rough sex, so I was scared the glass would shatter me on the inside. How would you explain that to a doctor?

Then I did some actual research, and discovered that most glass dildos, as long as they are from a reputable company, have barely any chance of leaving shards in your vagina. In fact, the only risk in that regard could happen if you drop it — the toy might chip, and then you have to say bye to your beautiful piece of sex art.

Knowing that my life was not at risk, I decided to venture into the glass sex toy world.

I browsed for hours ("window shopping" for sexy playthings has become a hobby of mine) and decided to buy from a well-known company instead of an Etsy store. There are some beautiful sex toys on Etsy, but I am still learning how to spot quality toys, so I decided to go with the company Gläs, which is a high-quality company with budget prices (bingo!).

I personally like testing out good quality (but cheaper) products before splurging on the big guns (i.e. expensive). Gläs seemed like the perfect fit for me, and I hoped my choice would be the perfect to help me orgasm during masturbation.

Review of The Gläs Purple Rain Sex Toy

I decided to go with the Purple Rain Ribbed Dildo from gläs, individually hand-crafted from borosilicate glass (pyrex). The toy is almost indestructible (fracture-resistant), easily washable and temperature responsive (you can heat it up or cool it down for temperature-play). It is also compatible with all lubricants.

It is a perfect size for most vaginas at 8.5 inches in length and 1.25 inches wide, a bulbous tip, ribbed body and a curved handle. The dildo is double-ended: the ribbed side is straight, and the non-ribbed side has more of the curve. The toy itself is a see-through purple colour, which gives it a simple, classic look. And also, I like the color purple.

There is also a really nice weight to it. The kind that is perfect for vaginal orgasms.

The Packaging

It arrived safely in a large box, filled with foam wrapping. The picture on the box is a realistic size portrayal. A big "One of a Kind" sticker is a nice addition that made me feel good about my purchase. It isn’t a great box to re-use as it takes up a lot of space and is a bit of a struggle to get out of the foam, but it arrived safely, and that is what matters when it comes to glass dildos.

The Fun Stuff

When first inserting the dildo, I inserted it with the ribbed end first, and I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the cool sensation of the un-warmed glass against my vulva. I hadn’t modified the temperature, but the glass had retained a bit of coolness from the air, which I enjoyed for a few minutes before it warmed to my body temperature.

This little bit of chill is a unique bonus of choosing a glass toy. If you’re not into temperature play, then I suggest soaking it in warm water before use. Always do what you want, but I recommend trying it out cold first.

I am not really a texture person, so the ribbed body doesn’t really do anything for me. When I use this toy as part of a longer session where I am a bit sore, I actually find it to be unpleasant. In a masturbation session where I am freshly lubricated, I can enjoy the tip and then one rib but not more than that.

It is easy to grip the curved handle, but there is no way that the ribbed side would make me orgasm. It might work for someone else, but not me.

Thankfully, this toy has two insertable ends! When I turned the dildo around, and inserted the non-ribbed, curved end of the dildo — the fun began. Because the head is so round, it has a smooth, full sensation when inserting, which I love. The ribbed body allows for a firm grip, and the curved end rubs gracefully along my G-spot.

On my own, the angle is a bit challenging as the ribbed handle is straight, however my partner has not had any issues holding it at exactly the right spot and moving it in a way that feels really good. I need clitoral stimulation as well as G-spot stimulation in order to orgasm, and this is a great toy that continues to succeed at the G-spot end of things.

The only downside from using the curved end of the dildo is that occasionally it pulls on my vaginal opening which is mildly uncomfortable. However, just a quick change of movement and the minor distraction resolves.

In Conclusion

The Purple Rain Ribbed Dildo isn’t the perfect toy for my anatomy, but I love the cold temperature play and it definitely makes my G-spot happy so it often ends up joining us in bed. The double-ended-ness means there’s double the chance you’ll find something you like.
