Christian Grey Casting: Is Paul Walker The New Front-Runner?

Now that we have a set release date for the much-anticipated bondage flick Fifty Shades of Grey (Aug. 1, 2014), the next step in the production process is the one leaving us most excited: casting!

For us ladies, the most titillating casting decision will be which hot and hunky actor will be chosen to play Christian Grey himself.

Of course, there has been much speculation and rumor regarding this—everyone from Ryan Gosling to Ed Westwick to Ian Somerhalder has allegedly been vying for the role, and now there's another sexy actor added to the list of "possible Christians" ... the very handsome Paul Walker.

The actor recently discussed the possibility of playing Grey with ET Canada, saying his taking the role would largely depend on who was cast to play his character's opposite, Anastasia Steele. "It would be really important to have incredible chemistry with whoever the girl was and it couldn't be something you would have to force. I think the people need to spend a lot of time together and intimate time would probably help, you know?"

Oh, we know. There have also been rumors that Paul Walker's Fast and Furious costar Jordana Brewster expressed interest in the role of Ana, although the character is approximately a decade Brewster's junior.
