For a couple that worked hard to keep out of the spotlight during their marriage, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson can't seem to stay out of the media post-breakup.

Lately, we've been hearing mixed reports that Ryan was reportedly grossly mistreated by ScarJo, despite the fact that the pair was recently seen having a friendly dinner date at Blue Ribbon restaurant in New York. "They are not getting back together," a friend of Scarlett's told Popeater. "Rather, this was her way to show the world that you can be friends with your ex and that just because you are getting divorced doesn't mean you can't still be civilized towards each other."

But enough about the boring dinner date, we know you're much more interested in Scarlett's cruel treatment of poor Ryan.

Allegedly, the 26-year old star never made her marriage a priority, and was too young for the commitment, Celebitchy.com reports. Apparently their lackluster marriage was even obvious on the Green Lantern set.

An insider said that it was, "Open on set that he and Scarlett [Johansson] were having problems." That's funny, we thought Scarlett and Ryan were having hot steamy sex in his trailer while he was filming that movie? Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Fans of Afternoon Sex?

According to UsMagazine.com, Ryan is now "beyond sad and depressed," while the Iron Man 2 actress is simply "disconnected and disaffected."

While Ryan's camp is painting Scarlett as undevoted and immature, Scarlett is supposedly working on cleaning up her post-marriage image. Some have speculated the aforementioned dinner date is even part of the actress' master plan.

"This was 100 percent Scarlett sending a message," a source dished. "She knew the two of them would be noticed in the tiny restaurant and wanted to make sure that they were seen to be having a good time together not fighting."
