My name is Samara Fabrick and I am a California-certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and an experienced psychotherapist with a wonderfully active private practice in Beverly Hills. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with individuals, families and groups, but my true passion is working with couples. I have taught a pre-marital class for the past 15 years, touching hundreds of couples’ lives with the knowledge and skills to make their marriages happier and more fulfilling.
 

Do you know that if you do pre-marital work (seminars, classes, or counseling) that you have a 30% better chance of staying together in a happy marriage? I don’t know about you, but 30% seems like an awful lot of savings when you’re at Target, or Macy’s or Vons.
 

I believe that couplehood is something to be worked on and nurtured. My therapy model incorporates several theories that, in combination, have proven effective in creating growth and change in individuals and couples. My direct approach helps my clients in setting specific goals and objectives that are achievable within a reasonably finite time frame. Personal responsibility for improving one’s own life is another theme that runs through my work. Once a client accepts personal responsibility, they are able to make more positive choices and achieve more control over negative thoughts and behaviors. I have just finished writing my first book and am looking forward to having it published in the coming year. Meanwhile, I am an ongoing contributing expert to LAMomMagazine.com and have been interviewed by several publications and radio shows. Due to the passion I have to help couples live happier lives together, I am launching myself as America’s Marriage Mentor (stayed tuned for more information in the near future) in order to reach more people and work with couples by teleclass and webinars. I am truly blessed and have been happily married for sixteen years and am the proud mother of two terrific boys.
