Catesby C. Holmes graduated from Wesleyan University in 2005 and immediately fled the country, traveling and working in such countries as Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, and Spain. This two-year stint abroad inspired much of her freelance work--she has been been published in the Buenos Aires Herald, Janera.com, and InTravel magazine--and led to her current position as an assistant editor at Travel + Leisure magazine.
