You ever meet those people who just seem to have everything figured out? They're the type of people whose lives seem to flow smoothly without many setbacks.

Most of the time, these people have worked to create this kind of harmony. And I'm not talking about anything drastic, just small, exceptionally healthy habits they practice in their everyday lives.

Here are 6 exceptionally healthy habits that help people flow through life more naturally

1. They have a routine

As humans, we crave routine. When you have a daily routine, you're able to move through your day with a better sense of direction. You know what to expect and how to ensure you're equipped for the day ahead. Instead of constantly figuring out what to do next, you have a general idea of how you want your day to go.

People whose lives seem to flow naturally often have routines they can rely on. Of course, this doesn't mean every single day has to look the same. Having some structure simply makes it easier to handle the unexpected when it does come along.

2. They actively choose not to procrastinate

Procrastination and a sense of flow do not mix. When you start putting off the little things, or even the big things, they can quickly start to pile up and take over your life. Not to mention, procrastination can be incredibly stressful. You're worrying about getting something done that you have yet to complete or even start. Then, when you finally do it, you're left scrambling to get everything finished.

It's a cycle that makes even the smallest things feel overwhelming. People who seem to move through life with ease understand that getting things done before they become urgent can save them a lot of unnecessary stress.

3. They don't care what other people think about them

In order to let life flow naturally, you have to learn how to let go of the little things, including other people's opinions of you. People who have figured this out don't spend all their time worrying about how they're being perceived. They understand that they can't control what everyone thinks of them, so they don't waste their energy trying to do so.

If you spend even five minutes thinking about what someone else thinks of you, you can easily get caught up in a cycle of overthinking. It affects your mental state, and when you're too busy worrying about other people's opinions, it's harder to focus on what's actually happening in your own life. I think all of us could benefit from spending a little less time worrying about what other people think of us. After all, you have your own life to live, and constantly trying to manage everyone else's perception of you can get in the way of that.

4. They aren't afraid of change

Speaking of disruptions, people whose lives seem to flow naturally know that things won't always go according to plan. They might not like change, but they are willing to go with the flow because life is always changing.

Sometimes, plans fall apart and opportunities disappear. You can't always control what happens, but you can control how you respond to it.

5. They pick and choose what to give their energy to

Everyone has their little triggers that can send their emotions into overdrive. But learning to manage your reactions and deciding which things are actually worth getting upset about can make everyday life feel a lot more balanced.

People who live easygoing lives seem to have figured out what makes them lose their cool, and they learn to regulate their emotions. They understand that just because something annoys them doesn't mean they have to let it ruin everything that happens after it (something I still struggle with every day). But when you stop giving every little frustration the same amount of energy, you leave yourself with more room to focus on the things that actually matter.

6. They practice the Law of Detachment

Whether consciously or subconsciously, people whose lives seem to flow naturally often practice some form of detachment. The Law of Detachment is the idea that we can pursue what we want without becoming overly attached to a particular outcome. In other words, you can have goals without making your happiness dependent on whether everything works out exactly as you imagined.

Nothing really ever goes the way you envision it. You might spend so much time imagining how something should turn out that you struggle to appreciate what actually happens. Practicing detachment takes the pressure off.

You can hope for a particular result without assuming that anything less is a failure. Who knows, what you get might be better than what you wanted.
