There are certain things that people with no compassion complain about that can make them almost unbearable to be around.

Not only are the constantly negative, they seem to lack empathy and are only considerate when it comes to themselves. Nothing seems to make them happy and it's often their own lack of social awareness that causes the problem. Here are a few examples so you can spot them early.

People with zero compassion for others complain about these things pretty constantly:

1. Mistakes made by service workers

People in the service industry such as servers and grocery clerks have to deal with all sorts of people while taking care of the needs of the general public at any given time. They are constantly on the go and sometimes they slip up, which is normal! We're all human and we all make mistakes.

However, people who genuinely lack compassion for others always have a complaint for these hard workers in our society. Often they feel compassion is just too much work

It's one thing to voice genuine concern over poor service, but it's an entirely different thing to complain about every little thing. These people are the first to ask to speak to a manager when they don't get their way or even belittle the people who are just trying to do their job. Often they think this makes them seem strong and confident. In reality, people who treat service workers poorly are often considered seriously off-putting.

2. When other people have legitimate problems

These people might be the first to complain but they'll also be the first to complain about people complaining. Yes, it's as ridiculous as it sounds.

For someone who complains a lot themselves, a person who lacks compassion will often be the first to deflect and invalidate someone else's very real issues. This is because hypocrisy and lack of compassion often hand in hand. That's because they both happen when someone refuses to take an honest or objective look at themselves

They'd much prefer for you to keep your complaints to yourself so that they don't have to deal with it. But you can bet on the fact that the next time they're aggrieved, you'll be the first to hear about it.

3. How everyone is too sensitive these days

When people lack compassion for others, they often view other people's emotions as a burden rather than something to make space for. While the previous point mentioned how they complain about other people complaining, they're also constantly complaining about other people's sensitivity as a whole.

They're the first to tell somebody to toughen up and get over it, seeing the other person's sensitivity as something distasteful and inconvenient. They're the ones complaining about how sensitive people are nowadays, when in reality people have always been sensitive. In fact, it's their own sensitivity that makes them annoyed when others are sensitive.

People who lack compassion can't imagine that something they're OK with would bother someone else. They can't offer sympathy for issues that don't personally affect them, and it's honestly sad.

4. When people express joy around them

There are people who wear their positive emotions on their sleeves. Their positivity seems to flow naturally, and as a result, other people love being around them.

This drives people with zero compassion for others insane. You'd think that having someone joyful around them would help warm their hearts, but quite the opposite actually.

This is because joyful people are the antithesis of people with zero compassion who complain all the time. They can't stand seeing other people happy within their vicinity as it reminds them of what little they feel inside. Instead of engaging with the joyful person next to them, they're going to project and complain about how annoying the other person is. And guess what? That just makes them more isolated as they push people away.

5. Other people's success

Experiencing envy is a totally normal emotion for pretty much everyone. The inability to cope with jealousy, however, is a marker of someone who severely lacks compassion. This is the person who's so wrapped up in themselves and their own shortcomings that they can't stand seeing other people succeed.

Much like how expressing joy drives them insane, seeing another person succeed while they stay stagnant is an easy prompt for them to complain. They're often unable or unwilling to switch their envious feelings towards others into motivation for themselves.

6. People who ask them to be accountable for their actions

Pretty much nothing annoys a person with zero compassion like someone asking them to take accountability.

When someone gets hurt by a person with zero compassion, they usually end up turning the tables on the hurt person. The nature of people like this is to assume they do nothing wrong, so they can't seem to understand why they need to apologize for their actions.

Accountability is something that people with zero compassion can't seem to fathom as necessary. Like any emotion, they see hurt feelings (even if they were the cause of them) as something for other people to deal with, and not them. It's draining to be around people like these and it's just best to avoid them when you can.
