On Saturday, Gaga took to Instagram to explain that she's spoken with "doctors and scientists" who have advised her that it's best for her to stay away from her grandparents and parents to keep them safe at this time, so that's what she's doing.

"It’s not the easiest for everyone right now but the kindest/healthiest thing we can do is self-quarantine and not hang out with people over 65 and in large groups," she wrote. "I wish I could see my parents and grandmas right now but it’s much safer to not so I don’t get them sick in case I have it. I’m hanging at home with my dogs. I love you world, we’ll all get through this. Trust me, I talked to God — she said we’re gonna be ok."

2. Kristen Bell is spreading information.

For most of the weekend, Bell has taken to Instagram to share memes and screenshots related to COVID-19 and it sounds like she, husband Dax Shepard, and their daughters are planning to stay put for the time being.

One of her Instagram posts includes a row of matchsticks, with half of them burnt but the rest of them protected because the matchstick in the middle "stayed away" from the group to illustrate how self-isolation works, and she also posted to remind her followers that Frozen 2 Is now streaming on Disney+ — months early to keep everyone staying at home entertained.

Last week, news broke that Hanks and Wilson had both tested positive for the coronavirus while shooting a movie in Australia. Ever since, they've both been quarantined in their hotel, and he even posted a selfie of him and his wife as an optimistic update.

"We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness," he wrote. "We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball."

While many people took the opportunity to stock up on food (and toilet paper) in anticipation of spending a lot of time at home as the virus spreads, Octavia Spencer shared that she may have gone a little overboard with her ranch dressing stockpile.

"Think I might have overemphasized my need for ranch dressing during the quarantine?" she wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of three bottles of the dressing.

5. Ariana Grande shared a PSA about staying home.

In both her Instagram Story and on Twitter, the singer implored her followers to take the current situation seriously.

"I keep hearing from a surprising amount of people statements like 'This isn't a big deal/we'll be fine/we still have to go about our lives' and it's really blowing my mind," she said. "I understand if that is how u felt weeks ago, but please read about what's going on. Please don't turn a blind eye. It is incredibly dangerous and selfish to take this situation that lightly. The 'we will be fine because we're young' mindset is putting people who aren't young and/or healthy in a lot of danger. You sound stupid and privileged and you need to care more about others. Like now."

6. Taylor Swift shared a similar message.

In a post on her Instagram story, Swift recognized that some of her fans she follows online seem to be going about their lives as usual, and she shared with them why they should change their behavior.

"I'm seeing lots of get togethers and hangs and parties still happening," she wrote. "This is the time to cancel plans, actually truly isolate as much as you can't, and don't assume that because you don't feel sick that you aren't possibly passing something on to someone elderly or vulnerable to this. It's a really scary time but we need to make social sacrifices right now."

7. Miley Cyrus injected a little humor into the situation.

In a post on Twitter, Cyrus shared a meme about Hannah Montana-themed hand sanitizer, calling it "the only hand sanitizer that will defeat the coronavirus." In a later tweet, she took the situation more seriously... although she also shared a clip from an episode of Hannah Montana alongside her message.

"Be thoughtful. Respectful. Compassionate. HUMAN. while preparing for social distancing.... NO ONE needs every soup in the store, The more we hoard the more expensive and sparse necessities will become, leaving many without essentials. This is a great time to practice restraint..." she added, sharing a video where Hannah Montana was very clearly not showing restraint.
