Do you fight with your spouse? Sure you do; all couples fight, which actually is not a bad thing. The issue lies in the fact that every marriage therapist agrees that not only is fighting not healthy to your own soul, it's also really bad for your relationship. The worst part is that it can be really repetitive and end up leading to an even bigger problem.

Relationship Experts Sue Butler, Andre Moore, Cheryl Gerson and Christopher Smith are joined by YourTango Experts Senior VP Melanie Gorman to discuss the many reasons couples fight the same ol' fight and why it's important to recognize certain patterns of your fighting style. Ultimately, it's up to you and your spouse to monitor how you handle conflicts but watch to see whether or not your fighting style is detrimental to your marriage

There is a difference between good and bad fights. Good fights start but reach a turning point where someone says something to the heart which brings the two back together through a common resolution. Bad fights just keep going and going with no type of resolution. Sometimes you will argue about the same things over and over, if the argument is on a subject that is not important than that is bad. Arguments will always happen this is a fact, but do not stress yourselves over trivial stuff.
