Park and Eleanor are adorable, relatable and realistic in their quest to transcend via love.

3. On Dublin Street, Samantha Young – If you're looking for something a little saucier, try On Dublin Street. This erotic New Adult romance tells the story of a woman with a dark past, and the man who wants to know all of her, despite her desire to keep him at a distance. Then along comes Rosie (who is on a journey to find her father) and everything goes awry, in the best possible way.

5. Chocolat, Joanne Harris – Everyone knows this one. The story of the mysterious Vianne Rocher and her daughter Anouk, this sensual novel delights its readers with romance, intrigue and of course, chocolate.
