Wives With Lazy Husbands Usually End Up In Charge Of 5 Things At Home
Alex Green | Pexels Every couple complains about each other, and that's normal. But one partner taking care of all the responsibilities isn't.
For wives who have extremely lazy husbands, they're often left in charge of everything. From small things like taking out the garbage to larger duties like childcare, women are exhausted from the mental and physical load they carry.

1. Planning or hosting household events

Whenever there's a major event in their home, like a family gathering or a kid's birthday party, wives with lazy husbands seem to take it upon themselves to take care of everything. Meanwhile, their husband simply shows up, not contributing any effort.
For women in this situation, instead of acting like their husband is a mind-reader, they can give him a list of tasks. And if he's the type that needs to feel in more control, they can write up a list of tasks and ask him to choose the ones he can take on.
2. Primary caregiving of the kids
This almost always seems to be an issue with couples. Somehow, the unspoken rule immediately becomes that the wife is in charge of the kids. But they're his kids too, obviously.
When a lazy husband acts like it's a big deal that he's "taking care of" his children, despite it being his literal responsibility, wives can delegate to help him feel successful as a parent. That means telling him to drive the kids to school or putting him in charge of weekend little league duties.
The sky is the limit as far as what wives can delegate. At the very least, for the sake of his relationship with the kids, he should be taking over a fair number of responsibilities.
3. Managing the finances and budget
When a wife is the one in the marriage managing the finances or bills, it's a lot to handle. Both people need to be equally knowledgeable and responsible.
Unfortunately, 34% of couples say money is a major source of conflict in their marriage. So, when one partner is taking on all of the financial obligations, it makes women, especially, feel like they're carrying too much.
It's beneficial for both partners to have a monthly meeting where they share up-to-date information about bills and money. If they have shared bank accounts, each should have access to those accounts whenever necessary.
4. Housework and chores

Unfortunately, women not only take on invisible labor like managing a household with kids, they may also sometimes do all the chores by themselves. Because they can't count on their lazy husbands to chip in, it's exhausting and overwhelming.
Instead of letting all that physical work fall on their shoulders, wives can give their husbands specific tasks. That, or outsource the housework to a cleaning service or other professionals.
When wives don't have to manage all the housework themselves, choosing instead to hire help, they end up with stronger, better marriages. But it does involve their husband at least acknowledging that he could put in more effort.
5. Acting as the host when extended family visits
When family comes to visit, it should be an all-hands-on-deck situation, where both partners are physically present and helping out. But when women have lazy husbands, who conveniently slip into the bedroom to watch TV or act like they have errands to run, it means wives are left to entertain everyone.
This can be a major point of contention in relationships. But instead of letting it become a habit, wives can explain to their husband that although he may not be interested in conversations with family, it's his job to co-host, and that escaping to another room isn't supportive.
