Are you afraid of being alone with yourself?

Is it extra hard for you when you're alone? Do you crawl out of your skin and try to fill your space with someone else as soon as possible just to cope?

Doing this is a sign that something is wrong. This happens when you're not fully dealing with something from your past or your own insecurities.

Luckily, once you move past this, you can have a happier life.

Your fear comes from the fact that when you're alone, you can't be distracted from your thoughts and are forced to face what you need to face.

Having alone time is important for everyone.

Some people need a lot of alone time, and some need less. Either way, it's important to be able to sit with yourself alone and feel at peace.

Some people can't actually manifest anything if they don't have enough alone time to process. So, being OK with being alone is a very important thing to work on.

By not facing what you need to face, it will only get worse.

Your anxiety will increase more and more, until it eventually causes physical issues.

You can face anything!

Avoiding what you need to face is actually much harder in the long run.

Being alone helps other areas of your life.

Once you get rid of what's holding you back from being OK with being alone, it will help other areas of your life, as well.

Facing that fear may seem scary, but in doing so, you eliminate the constant fear and can move forward in life.

The first step is to discover what it is that you're afraid of facing.

Take some time alone with no distractions and really pay attention.

What comes up for you? What are you afraid will come up?

What are you running from? What feelings come up?

Do you feel uncomfortable? Do you feel like jumping out of your skin?

Sink more into those feelings, and let yourself feel them fully so you can go deeper and work through it.

When that "jumpy" feeling comes, explore it, feel it, and really go deep with it.

You can't let go of something you don't fully acknowledge first.

Sometimes, even just feeling the full magnitude of it can help.

Avoiding it just makes it into a bigger issue than it already is, making it feel unbearable. Once you allow yourself to feel whatever it is you're afraid to face, then it doesn't have that power over you anymore.

In the long run, facing it is much less painful than continuing to suppress and run from it.

No one wants to run in fear for the rest of their lives. And it's guaranteed to get worse over time, causing anxiety and issues in all areas of your life.

The longer you sit with it and feel it, the better and better it will feel.

Notice any thoughts and feelings that come up and let them be OK. Feel all of it deeply and fully, acknowledge it, then let it go.

Depending on how much you've been ignoring yourself, this process could take some time.

It will unfold in layers. Just be patient with yourself, and let each issue unfold as it does.

Being able to be alone with yourself also helps attract love.

If you want to be alone with yourself, others will, as well. If you're afraid to be alone with yourself, that energy is out there and will actually repel love from you.

Forgive yourself and forgive others.

Forgiveness is a big part of this. In our many lives, we have all made the worst mistakes one can make. Our soul learns from mistakes.

Don't hold onto guilt. Take what you learned and move forward.

In the whole scheme of things, learning from it is all that matters. Don't let one choice define you or hold you back from moving forward.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What or who are you allowing in your life that isn't good for you?
  • What are you settling for or just putting up with?
  • What are you afraid of?

Facing these things and making changes will make a huge difference in your life.

So, if you're afraid to be alone, that's blocking you from moving forward and always will until you face it.

Work on these things and take back your power!

Love being alone with yourself and create a much better life!
