They're not just telling everyone how much they love what they do, but you may hear them talk about a project they're working on or mention something funny a colleague said. It's their way of communicating how happy they are at their job.
When people genuinely love their jobs, they say these phrases
1. 'I actually can't wait to get back to that'

When someone enjoys their work, they'll feel real anticipation to get back to something they're working on. While most people watch the clock, for these people, getting to return the next day is exciting. And when they leave work, they're thinking about their tasks because they're interesting.
Whatever it was, they aren't emotionally desperate to escape it. That kind of excitement doesn't always mean they love every part of their job, it just means something about the work itself is enough to spark their curiosity once the workday ends.
Many people feel overwhelmed and consumed by their job, and don't find anything interesting about their duties. But for others, they're counting down the minutes until they return, because their workload is something that provides them with some kind of purpose.
2. 'I was telling my co-worker about this...'
People who enjoy their jobs have stories about the people they work with, not just complaints. They're quick to talk to a friend or partner about what they and their colleagues discussed or laughed about. Their co-workers become part of their everyday world, not just people they have to tolerate for eight hours or more.
Workplace relationships can look very different depending on the environment, but having people at work they really like interacting with boosts morale tremendously. To them, work is more than a series of tasks, but a place to form new friendships.
There's a social element to work, and that matters because people spend a large portion of their lives at a job. Having co-workers you respect and like being around can make the workday feel much more fun. Someone who enjoys their job may not love every person they work with, but there are at least a few people that make it worthwhile to show up.
3. 'I learned something really cool today'
For people who truly love their job and workload, learning something new doesn't always feel like an obligation. They come home and immediately want to talk about the cool things they got to do. It might be a new technique they mastered or something specific that others don't completely understand.
Someone who feels inspired by and interested in their work is experiencing new things each day. They're developing skills and solving problems. That can make work much more satisfying.
A person can find genuine joy in the little things, like making a spreadsheet more efficient or understanding a customer's needs. Even if it's not their dream job, they find excitement in expanding their knowledge daily.
4. 'I feel like this is what I'm supposed to be doing'

If a person loves what they do for work, they may eventually stop describing it as simply a job and more of a calling. To them, their career makes sense.
That doesn't mean their career is perfect, and they likely will still complain and have difficult days. But what really matters is the deeper feeling underneath the complaints.
When they say "I feel like this is what I'm supposed to be doing," maybe their personality is a perfect fit or they have the right skills to accomplish the task. No matter what it is, they find true passion in it.
When they say they finally found work that feels right, it's not that every day is wonderful, but that the work feels in sync with who they are.
5. 'I like that I get to help people'
For some, the most satisfying part of their job is knowing that what they do matters to someone else. Even the small actions they take or tasks they complete make a difference in another person's life.
That doesn't mean they work in a traditionally helping profession, but those small interactions give them a sense of purpose. They get to see a student understand a concept if they're a teacher, or have writing inspire others as an author.
They believe their job is saving the world in small ways. And because they're likely empathetic towards others, they see meaning in helping someone in any way they can. That feeling is powerful.
6. 'I get to be creative with it'
Not every creative job involves making art or designing something. Creativity could be something like finding a solution nobody else thought of or coming up with a new way to explain a concept.
People who genuinely adore their jobs appreciate having freedom to think for themselves. It prevents them from feeling disconnected from their job and encourages them to use their creative skills. And even people who prefer structure want to know that their skills matter.
Nobody wants to feel like they're just following instructions without ever being able to put their own uniqueness into something. Because a job is much more satisfying when someone can recognize a little bit of themselves in their work.
