Let's look at what we know about these rumors.

1. Are Solange Knowles and Common dating? They were spotted together at her show in New York City.

On Friday, February 28, 2020, Knowles was the recipient of the prestigous Lena Horne Prize, which was conferred upon her at the Town Hall in New York City. Common was the first speaker at the event and reportedly he was there as her date, as well. They didn't walk the red carpet together, however.

2. Knowles recently separated from her second husband.

In 2014, Knowles married her second husband, video director Alan Ferguson. However, in November 2019, she took to her Instagram to announce that she and Ferguson had called it quits, but subsequently deleted the post. "11 years ago I met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. Early this year we separated and parted ways," she wrote in the post. "I find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do. It is unfair to not have the power of your own story as you shape and mold and rewrite it yourself."

3. She also was previously married to Daniel Smith, with whom she had a child when she was only 17.

Knowles and her first husband, Daniel Smith, were married in February 2004. She was 17 at the time, and he was only 19. In October 2004, Knowles gave birth to their son, Daniel. After her son's birth, she moved to Moscow, Idaho, so Smith could continue his college studies. In 2007, Knowles and Smith divorced and she subsequently moved to Los Angeles before finally settling in New Orleans, LA.

4. Common was rumored to be dating Tiffany Haddish.

Common and Tiffany Haddish have had the biggest "are they or aren't they" relationship since the first time they were spotted together back in December 2018. At the time, Common was going back-and-forth with his longtime girlfriend, Angela Rye, before ultimately splitting with her. Most recently, Common and Haddish were spotted together at the NBA All-Star Game in Chicago.

5. He also previously dated Serena Williams and Erykah Badu.

But Tiffany Haddish isn't the only famous woman that Common has dated. In the past, he was linked to Serena Williams — with whom he had an on-again, off-again relationship from 2007 to 2010, and who he met when she appeared in his music video for the song, "I Want You." He also dated Erykah Badu from 2000 until 2002, and they recently sparked reunion rumors when they were spotted together at a show in 2019. (He shut those rumors down, however.)

6. Common hasn't commented about the dating rumors.

Common hasn't commented on the dating rumors surrounding him and Knowles. There's speculation that the rumors aren't even true, because there were no pictures of them together at the Town Hall.

7. But Knowles immediately addressed the rumors.

Almost immediately after the rumors about Knowles dating Common began circulating, she took to her Instagram Stories to address the issue. She posted a "why the f**k you lyin'," meme, then posted a link to the song "Lyin' on Me." Later, her team issued an official statement about the dating rumors, which you can see below.
