Jeffrey Lamar Williams, better known as Young Thug to the hip hop world, is more famous for his eccentric clothing style and rumored sexuality than he is for his music. Though he's collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip-hop — including Gucci Mane — he seems to only make headlines when rumors about his sexuality and snarky comments about his clothes are being made.

And now, of course, it's no different. An old video of Young Thug resurfaced online and featured Young Thug kissing a man, thus re-igniting the rumors about his sexuality.

So, is Young Thug gay? Let's look at what we know about these rumors.

1. The rumors about his sexuality re-ignited with a new video release.

Just a few days ago, DJ Akademiks took to his Instagram to share a video of Young Thug onstage with his artist, the rapper Lil Keed. As Lil Keed was performing, Young Thug appeared to kiss Lil Keed on the cheek. Now, this video was first posted to the Internet in 2019 and was a hot topic on hip hop message boards at the time, but Akademiks' Instagram post brought it roaring back to the spotlight. You can check out the video below, and see for yourself.

2. Young Thug previously told Lil Keed that he loved him.

In a 2019 Instagram post that was subsequently deleted, Young Thug told Lil Keed that he "loved" him, while referring to the rapper as his "oldest son." Hip hop commentary, at that time, took that comment to mean that Young Thug was happy that he was a mentor to Lil Keed and to his blood brother (and fellow rapper), Lil Gotit.

3. Young Thug and Lil Keed have previously collaborated on songs.

Young Thug and Lil Keed definitely have great chemistry behind the mic. Since they first encountered one another, they've collaborated on, and released, several songs — including the "Fetish" remix, "Goin' Up," "Proud of Me," and "Million Dollar Mansion."

4. In the past, Young Thug said that he didn't mind what people had to say about his sexuality.

When his star first began to rise, Young Thug didn't seem to mind what anyone had to say about his sexuality. "I like everything that people say. No matter what they say. You gay, you a punk. You got a nice girlfriend, you’re ugly, you can’t rap, you’re the hardest," he said while adding that his style goes over better in Europe because he "dresses like a [expletive] European."

5. But he thinks people like Lil Nas X should have kept their sexuality a secret.

When superstar Lil Nas X first came out as gay, Young Thug didn't think it was the best career move he could have made. "I feel like he probably shouldn’t have told the world. These days, m*therf**kers, it’s just all judgment. M*therf**kers is just judging. It ain’t even about the music no more. Once you found out he was gay, as soon as the song come on now, everybody like, “This gay-a** [n-word].” [N-words] don’t even care to listen to the song no more. Just feel like he young, and backlash can come behind anything. [His coming out] wasn’t a bad idea, and it was most definitely the best time to do it, during Pride. That was the best time to do it. That was a G’s move. But he young, and I know he going to be dealing with it in his mind. I dealt with this shit before. I know what he dealing with. So I was like, ‘F**k, he should have never said that, never should have told them," he said.

6. Young Thug's addressed rumors of his sexuality in the past, too.

In an interview, Young Thug made clear that not only is he not gay, but he's actually been with more women than most straight men he knows. He also said that he's not having a threesome with a man, either.
