This Mob Wives star is behind bars — and so far, the situation behind her arrest sound pretty scary.

On December 19, Drita D’Avanzo was arrested in New York for possession of guns and drugs after police searched her home in New York. Her husband, Lee D’Avanzo, was arrested as well, before they were arraigned in Staten Island Criminal Court. 

But who is Drita D’Avanzo? Here’s everything you need to know about this Mob Wives star and her arrest following a home raid.

1. Who is Drita D’Avanzo? She's best known for starring on Mob Wives.

The VH1 reality show aired for six seasons, ending in 2016. It followed the lives of women living in Staten Island who had family members who were imprisoned for crimes that may have been connected to the American mafia. D’Avanzo appeared in all six seasons, and the cast included different women each season including Renee Graziano, Natalie Guercio, and Angela “Big Ang” Raiola, who passed away after a battle with cancer in 2016.

2. D’Avanzo works as a makeup artist and owns her own company.

Today, more than three years after the final episode of Mob Wives aired, D’Avanzo spends less time on reality TV and more time focused on her career. She’s a professional makeup artist and also sells her cosmetics line, Lady Boss, online, as well as a collection of bedazzled clutches.

3. She and her husband were arrested Thursday after police raided their home.

Allegedly, police found two loaded firearms, as well as 120 hydrocodone/acetaminophen pills, along with Xanax and marijuana. This led to Lee and Drita being booked on 10 different charges, including but not limited to criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

”Defendants Drita D’Avanzo and Lee D’Avanzo were arraigned today in Staten Island Criminal Court. Bail was set at $15K/15K for Drita D’Avanzo. Defendant Lee D’Avanzo was remanded into custody,” police said in a statement.

Their case has now been adjourned until January 31st.

“After All The Dms, Text Messages, News And Now Blogs That Have Contacted Me Within The Last 2 Hrs I'm Going To Address The Situation (which we all know what I'm referencing) And Then Leave It Alone,” Graziano, who starred on the show with Drita, wrote. “No Matter Whether I'm On Good Terms With Someone Or Not I'd NEVER Wish Nor Want To See Anyone Go To Jail!! Especially A Mother!! This Is A Shame And I'm Sure It Will Be Rectified Quickly.”

5. This isn’t Lee’s first trip to prison.

Back in 2003, Lee was sentenced to 62 months in federal prison after he was convicted on charges of robbery, money laundering, loansharking, and marijuana distribution. Then, in 2008, Lee was arrested during a sting called “Operation Turkeyshoot,” when officers caught him, along with three other men, breaking into a bank in New Springville, New York. He’s thought to be a part of the New Springville Boys, a group with ties to criminal organizations. 

6. Drita has a criminal past as well.

In 2016, she was arrested for assault after she allegedly got physical with a woman during what started out as a verbal dispute. At the time, she was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.

So far, there’s no update on the D’Avanzos, but more news should come out when their case continues in the new year.
