Joe Budden is someone who is a great rapper, and an even better podcast host. Unfortunately, he's a bit of a mess in his personal life. Hopefully, his luck changes with this new relationship. Who is Shadee Monique, and is she really dating Joe Budden?

Beginning in 1999, Joseph Anthony Budden III — a native of Spanish Harlem who moved to Jersey City when he was a teenager — hit it big in 2003 when he came out with his self-titled mixtape. Collaborations with the likes of hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse (with Royce Da 5'9, Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I) followed, and this was also followed by a stint on Love & Hip Hop: New York. Budden, however, came with his fair share of problems: he entered rehab in 1997, while he was still a teenager, because he was addicted to angel dust. By the time he turned 20, he had fathered a child with a much older woman. And in 2014, he was accused of assaulting his now-ex-girlfriend.

2. Shadee Monique runs an Instagram boutique.

Shadee Monique is based out of Houston, Texas, and runs a clothing boutique called Nyzuree catering to Instagram models, because nothing says career longevity like an Instagram boutique. Get your money though.

3. He broke up with Cyn Santana to get with Shadee Monique.

Prior to getting with Shadee Monique, Joe Budden was hooking up with his Love & Hip Hop: New York co-star (and Erica Mena's ex-girlfriend) Cyn Santana. That relationship produced a child. But the outlet reports that like Cyn Santana, Shadee Monique has "thick cakes," or curvaceous hips and thighs. Yes, folks, he definitely has a type.

4. Joe Budden and his rumored new girlfriend got "flirty" in the comments section of their respective Instagram pages.

Modern love! Whereas once men used to send love notes and flowers, today's man sends flirtatious Instagram comments to express his interest in a fair maiden. And Joe Budden and Shadee Monique have been trading "flirty" comments in their Instagram comments section. How cute.

5. He only split with Cyn Santana a few weeks ago.

"Budden and Santana welcomed their son together in December 2017, a year before getting engaged. They, however, called off their engagement sometime this month after infidelity rumors surrounded them. They now seem to be co-parenting," reported a source, who added that there are some fans of both the couple and Love & Hip Hop: New York that hope that Joe Budden and Cyn Santana get back together.

6. Joe Budden not only denies breaking up with Cyn Santana, he's avoiding answering questions about Shadee Monique.

"We didn’t break up,” Joe said at the time. “There’s been no breakup. Now, words are important. So what does that mean? What that means is neither one of us said it’s over.” But in the same breath he admitted that they “haven’t spoken in a little while."

7. Are Joe Budden and Cyn Santana back together?

Rumors stirred up, yet again, that Joe Budden and Cyn Santa are back together after Joe posted the following photo on his Instagram feed captionining it, "Sometimes you gotta come together to defeat Thanos." The photo was taken outside Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels' (seemingly extravagant!) baby shower.

Looks like this is on a wait-and-see basis, at least for now!
