Ah, young love.

The only thing better than speculating about celebrity romances, is when they’re actually true! And the latest rumors involve two well-known and young actors in Hollywood: Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp.
Who is Lily-Rose Depp? If you recognize her last name, it's because she's the daughter of actor Johnny Depp and his long-time partner, Vanessa Paradis. At just 20 years old, she's already following in her famous father's footsteps.
In 2014, she landed her first role in the movie Tusk as a cameo. The film premiered that same year at the Toronto Film Festival. Also appearing in the film was Depp's close friend, Harley Quinn Smith, the daughter of Kevin Smith, who directed the movie. She reprised her role from Tusk in the movie Yoga Hosers, a spin-off.
In 2016, she appeared as Isadora Duncan in the movie The Dancer, and was nominated for Most Promising Actress at both the César Awards and the Lumières Awards. The same year, she co-starred alongside Natalie Portman in the film Planetarium. Portman hand-picked Depp to play her youngest sister in the film.
In 2018, she starred in the French film Les Fauves, and the romantic comedy, A Faithful Man. She also appeared that same year in the Netflix short documentary, Period. End of Sentence. alongside Priyanka Chopra. And this year, in June 2019, she starred alongside her aunt, Alysson Paradis, in the short film, Quel Joli Temps Pour Jouer Ses Vingt-ans.
In 2019, she's set to star in the movie, Dreamland, with Gary Oldman, Evangeline Lilly, and Armie Hammer. In addition, she'll appear in Voyagers with Colin Farrell and Fionn Whitehead.
But aside from her acting, she's been featured on multiple fashion magazine covers, and has been the brand ambassador to Chanel since 2015. When she was 15 years old, the late Karl Lagerfeld chose her. In 2016, he announced her as the face of Chanel No. 5's L'Eau fragrance.
And now we can add new boyfriend to her list of accomplishments. Because after the paparazzi captured the kiss seen around the world, there’s now no doubt that Depp is dating Chalamet. Plus, it spawned some pretty hilarious memes in the process.
Depp and Chalamet were spotted last week locking lips while vacationing on a boat in Capri, Italy. Well, it’s not exactly locking lips; it looks like Chalamet forget how to kiss and is engulfing Depp in his mouth. But not all kisses are perfect with the perfect couple, right?
Just last week, the couple walked the red carpet for their upcoming film, The King, at the Venice Film Festival. Depp wore a piece from the Fall 2019 Haute Couture collection, while Chalamet wore a silk and satin suit by Haider Ackermann.
Though there was no obvious PDA at the festival, their kiss on the boat isn’t the first time they’ve been spotted showering one another with affection. In October 2018, the couple were seen kissing in the rain in New York City. They were also seen grabbing coffee with one another, and walking with their arms around each other.
But how did they meet?
Chalamet had a breakthrough performance in the film, Call Me By Your Name, opposite Armie Hammer. Previously, Depp dated model Ash Stymest for two years and broke up in April 2018. Chalamet was linked to Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s daughter, after meeting in high school.
Filming and principal photography for The King began in June 2018, so it’s safe to say that’s where the two hit it off. When you spend all day on set with your co-stars, you’re bound to form a close relationship with them. In September 2018, they were seen in Central Park taking a walk together.
However, neither has confirmed or denied their relationship. In January 2019, Chalamet attended the Golden Globes with his mother and was asked about being linked to Depp. He avoided the question and answered, “I’m here with my mom.”
Well, “officially” together or not, we totally ship this rumored relationship. Young love is pretty great, after all.
